  8. Playing out yesterday...unweathered as yet..
  9. This is not the usual line up at PMB.......the A team decided to play MPDs in the last few minutes of the show...
  10. Spotted on Penmaenbach... and the A team at play... and a Cavalex 56........we went a bit red stripe for a short while...
  11. My album is here: We had a good day with Penmaenbach (I think...) and hopefully provided some useful information to the visitors. The SLW 25 did solid work throughout the day....even if it was a bit pristine for me... Chris
  12. I don't know exactly what they offer in terms of a basic unit but Gaugemaster have an excellent reputattion for back up, warranty etc. Would this do? https://railsofsheffield.com/products/gaugemaster-combi-combi-single-track-controller-plug-in-transformer-1-amp?variant=35450598621256&currency=GBP&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=google%2Bshopping&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwwr6wBhBcEiwAfMEQsypPPP0lJYGCFt4Dt8Ifu0on4G4bgLdSXpxDAYHPoc8clxVnsWqQqBoCf3wQAvD_BwE
  13. Colour coding wires for different point or certainly labelling wires will pay off in the long run....as will the ability to change a dodgy point motor easily. I use male/female sockets to allow an easy removal. I use stuff like this - but not from this seller - just a convenient link. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255887046208?chn=ps&_ul=GB&var=555824586558&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1Y4qKxRhOSHe0axZ1j9w1Fw47&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=555824586558_255887046208&targetid=1647205088800&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9045614&poi=&campaignid=17206177401&mkgroupid=136851690655&rlsatarget=pla-1647205088800&abcId=9300866&merchantid=101732128&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwwr6wBhBcEiwAfMEQsyOsJccHGiTf9wiwnkHBtCE3aFJRlECepawgKi0VcB8rZ31auIGS4RoCWQQQAvD_BwE
  14. Popped into Bitton this morning for the Avon Valley 50 year gala. It's on until Sunday. I managed a brake van ride on the first train of the day. Click on this photo for the album ChrisH
  15. To be fair to the team there the layout name is caveated...
  16. Is that a picture from Sir's private collection?
  17. Having chatted to Mr S at York I am confident he knows his stuff....in detail....
  18. Thanks for the credit....I took more on Monday...
  19. The day will be less enjoyable (and challenging!) without you... Chris
  20. You should have been at York.....just saying...
  21. Mine is all packed up ready for a trip out on Penmaenbach at the Cheltenham Show this weekend - I will try for some fots then - it is a bit clean though.... ChrisH
  22. I purchased a new one of these at the York Show and attempted a test run today. Sadly although the motor appears to work it is clearly not connected to the wheels! I have sent a message to the retailer but wondered if anyone else had encountered the same issue and if it is an easy fix which I could do myself - I am yet to open it up and won't do so until I hear back from the shop. Chris
