  1. If there are any intellectual property issues we can always send the boys round.....Bill's a big lad...
  2. Has anyone weathered a 56019 ( I'm particularly interested in how the red buffers look!) Chris H
  3. I think we just need to remember they are a very small outfit dealing with what appears to be a very popular product. When it arrives it will be absolutely fine I'm sure. I'm just a previously satisfied customer FWIW. Chris H
  4. Thanks - in which I should be fine as I have Bachman and SLW locos that work well on the layout already - I was concerned that the nail modification may be necessary! Chris
  5. I'm yet to fit Kadees to my 56s - is the coupler pocket design going to make a coupling/uncoupling problematic if any curve is involved? Has anyone out there tried it? I won't get round to it for a day or to - I certainly plan to use my RF liveried 56 for a bit of shunting on Penmaenbach which has long Peco BH points. Chris
  6. It will need a different address but the manual tells you how to sort that. Not all 6 wire cables are falt btw - I have at least one coiled one so beware! and...
  7. This is from Roads and Rails...from their DCC sound installation I thought I was finished but all the lights came on together, I like them to be directional so that I can easily see which way the model is gonna move, so I looked at the PCB and noticed that there was a green wire bridging two components, which looked like a bit of an after thought, so i took it off, and it made the lights directional, but backwards! So I have reversed the light outputs in the function mapping and it works now, any decoders you buy from us will already have this change made. Chris
  8. Paul Here you go: https://www.scalemodelscenery.co.uk/lx032-oo-laser-cut-lner-sectional-concrete-hut-pack-of-2-oo4mm176-497-p.asp IIRC colour scheme was based on a building at Llandudno Junction. Chris
  9. Another exhibition - 16 November 2024. -South Hants MRC Portsmouth Exhibition.
  10. I agree with you. A second powercab using a 4 wire connector in the righ hand socket is infinitely better.
  11. I think the Cab 06 has to act a secondary throttle to a Powercab or Procab. Chris
  12. Well..we turned up and Cropper street was adequate....some fots here....a lot of Cropper Street plus other stuff. The exhibition guide was a little enigmatic but I will try to caption later...click on the bus for fots...
  13. My take on the couplers from the pictures is that they are not the usual NEM pocket and won't take Kadee plug-ins (17-20 range). Is that the case? I do appreciate its a tight spot but would like confirmation. ( I think the 6w brake was similar IIRC) Thanks Chris
  14. Hopefully 7120 is on is way....
  15. Karl Crowther did an excellent article in MRJ 230 - I'll dig mine out and see what he did if you can't access one. Chris
  16. You can't go wrong with a few vee-tanks...please ignore the inappropriate motive power...I can't leave my fellow operators alone for two seconds...

    Hornby latest 8F

A basic upgrade to NEM coupler pockets would also seem overdue....
  18. Which edition was that in? - sadly I have them all....Thanks
