  1. Good Morning, Just a very short update with a few photos from our last exhibition. This shows off the new roundabout area well
  2. An excellent video was made by Barnabas Junction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKVpEV6dLoE
  3. Good Evening all It has been a while since I have updated and I though I had done one post show but it appears I have not. Anyway we had an excellent weekend playing trains at the Alsager's Bank model railway show and the model performed well, however we did have one failure of a Pendolino. There has been an update to the right hand side of the model, we have removed one of the bridges and added a roundabout, something slightly different to the bypass scenic break. The prototype for this is just outside Newcastle on the ECML towards Durham. Attached are a few videos from the weekend with a guest appearance of 6S94 (Clay slurry tanks) and the RHTT.
  4. Hi, It is the London Road kit from the society.
  5. I know it, it is such a terrible location for shots :p I shall try harder next time
  6. Hi All, I am just starting out in 3mm, after spending years helping to operate a 3mm layout and admiring the stock I have decided to take the plunge and have a go myself, here is the tender for a K2 which is my current project Benjamin
  7. Also a 3d printed Scammell by our resident laser cutter and printer guru Phil
  8. Good Afternoon, We are back from another very enjoyable open day operating at the club. The O gauge ran well and there were as always a few visiting locos with a few members bring their own locos down. I never got the opportunity to take many photos and have replied on ones collected from the other members. There was plenty of modern traction running around along with the regulars. A recently completed GSWR 0-6-2 Class 45 on it's first outing looked very well on the layout. IT also gave us an chance to show off the new engine shed developments, attached are a few photos. This is our current Thursday evening project for the new year.
  9. Good evening all I would like to thank all visitors who attended today and braving the weather , hope you all enjoyed and thought worthwhile. And to the exhibitor's who gave up there time , to help create a good day , we appreciate your commitment .
  10. Good Evening, We are all back now from setting up the show. Weaver Hill which has not run in a while has proved to still be in good shape and most of the stock has run well on it. We are looking forward to a day playing trains tomorrow. There are a few more layouts to set up and then we shall be all ready for the off tomorrow at 10am. We look forward to seeing those of you who brave the wind there
  11. There is nothing like a little last minute prep. Thats been the case for the past two evenings getting Gresty Lane back up to scrach after 12 years at least sitting gathering dust. It still looks very acceptable though for its age. It's first outing being in 1992. Weaver Hill has also been progressing with a few new additions
  12. Good Evening, We have had two 00 layouts confined for the show Rushwick a small GWR BLT and Dunnington DVLR which can be found here in rmweb. We are nearly now all set and ready for the show and we hope the weekend goes well. There are slight modification happening to Weaver Hill along with some refurbishment work with Gresty Lane. For those attending the road leading to the school is opposite the Gresley Arms Pub in the village of Alsager Bank. Parking is also available at the cricket club as well as the school in Alsagers Bank
  13. I shall look forward to seeing this. I think the easy option is to do an FL one hired in
  14. This is great, as always I am enjoying following this thread, do you dare tackle a Bachmann class 90 into ONE next Also who do you use for your Anglia decals as you have the orange spots also. I use precision on mine but looking for the orange dot. Especially to update an intercity set. Thanks
  15. A few photos of Bluebell cutting. I hope the £1.50 is worth it, and if not there is always a pub over the road. I think the name of Culthwaite works well and it does sound very S&Cish. As for Port _____? it could be quite clever as it is only half of the full layout thus I've been left with Port ______ ?
  16. Good Morning, I have just come across this layout and I'll be looking forward to following your progress. The coaches look excellent you have done a really good job.
  17. List of layouts attending so far. Port _______ ? 7mm Weaver Hill 4mm Gresty Lane 3mm Hartley Poole Too 2mm Bluebell Cutting 2mm Rycroft Arena 2mm Culthwaite 2mm
  18. Another layout which has been confirmed from the start but I have just received some photos for is the small 0 gauge harbour layout.. The layout does not really have a name so can be only classed as Port ______ ?
  19. Good Morning All, It has been a while since the last post. Since the last post another layout has been confirmed Culthwaite. This is a small station based on the S&C portrayed in the present day. Another update is on the catering side. We have added Bacon & Sausage baps
  20. I'm looking forward to seeing Ryecroft there. You can never go wrong with DMU's in and out of a platform.
