  1. Good Evening, Day one all done and dusted, the layout again as always ran rough so it's never unusual about it did settle down as the show went on. However there were a few niggles with some of the liners. The sleeper was planned to run with 16 and this was trialed but it's down to 8 and they have ran well after loosening the screws on some of the bogies and of course the odd train split scanario which crops up now and again. We are looking forward to day two tomorrow. The show looked well attended which is good to see
  2. Hi, I've ended up with 18 mk5s now. I though the sleepers would of been printed with the highland destinations and thus my choice to go with these. Had I got the two lowland packs I could of just put London Euston on the side and this could of worked as either the highland or the lowland. I'd of had 16 mk5 rather than spening realistically an extra £100 for a lounge and seated car I don't need.
  3. Good morning, See you there, I hope you enjoy it and don't be afraid to say hello
  4. JustGood evening, We are have set up at Bognor now. It shall be an early start as we still have some stock to put on and test but we are getting there now.
  5. ItI'd just like the join in my own throughs on the carriages. The model is absolutely stunning and accurascale really have captured the look them. I was concerned reading about the problems people have been having. So far nothing has fallen off even though some areas do look fragile which is never good for stock that shall be used at an exhibition. I've noticed in the past with other manufacturers detail can sometime go do far The red box has nail the trains to be played with. My main areas of complaint are with the way the carriages are advertised/packaged. Had I know we would of had to destinations in ourselves I would of just brought 16 lowland sleepers. I though the destinations would of been preprinted on. As the carriages are always in set I feel seeling the lounge cars and sleepers separate would be better. As it happened I've got a spare lounge/seated now. As for the other issue people are having I'll join in the chorus on coupling issues. They are a nice idea but on running this afternoon there is no hope for the 16 and the magnets. In fact the train splits from the first 2 carriages. I'll be swapping all the couplings out tomorrow now. Would it hurt to supply both types of a bar similar to hornbys mk4s?
  6. I've had a delivery note from accurascale so it looks like we should have the mk5s for the show. On the workbench I have been working on the cars to fill the car train, hopefully these shall all be complete. I shall carry on painting the windows on these this evening.
  7. Good Afternoon, It is stock packing day today, the only day I have free until departure on Friday, such a shame work gets in the way. We are looking forward to the weekend away. We were hoping on the arrival of the sleeper mk5s for the show but it might be a no show. The mk3s have been packed to ensure a sleeper service is retained through the weekend. With the hopeful arrival of the Mk5s we shall be running as up to day stock as we can.
  8. Afternoon, Just a quick reminder about our open day tomorrow. Everyone is welcome to bring their stock for a run. As always there is tea and coffee.
  9. Morning, A few photos of Charles on the layout.
  10. I'll try and get a photo soon, but the engine shed area has been developed now and ready for track laying. This shall complete one corner of the board at least. Still always plenty to do on the layout but we shall keep chipping away at it
  11. Hello As a lot have others have said a very good show . Only went to see one layout ( Moors View ) to me this was a worth the entrance fee. I did enjoy all the other layouts as well , got a few ideas now .
  12. I was surprised not to see the Northern one in this release. I really thought it would of been there. Like you I'd like to see a Northern one and hopefully we shall soon
  13. I've already though about that and I am glad Accurascale have the colours correct as the Dapol colours detract from the 68. I shall be just running a DRS 68 on the front of my set.
  14. Looking forward to CS version and stretching its legs on Weaver Hill along with the sleepers, or an engineer's train Kingmoor to Mossend
  15. Only just catching up since your September posts. I am not sure how I missed them but excellent work on the signalboxes. I really like what you have done in turning them into timber construction.
  16. Morning, VTEC also used to have an EMR set which used to have VTEC power cars. I remember travelling on this set once from Edinburgh to Aberdeen, nursing a hangover and an iru bru to get me though the journey
