  1. As we are on the class 90s to do I've got to say I always liked them before they were unclothed. Complete ONE Anglia livery. Mind it would mean plenty of spraying Jerry :p
  2. Afternoon Keith Still like to see photos , sounds good , Cheers Rich
  3. Good Afternoon, Moving slightly forward here are some very crude abellio coaches I have done. The 90 also does not even match the quality of yours, but does the job in representing 034. Just to let you know your not alone in the geml modelling ;).
  4. Morning Keith Intrigued as to the concept here , would like to know more please .
  5. Good Morning, Moving over to your thread I have got to admit we are just as guilty with WCML pendos and voyagers. However we do this to represent the modern railway when we are showing Weaver Hill. The model was designed to capture a different WCML, just showing the four track mainline. However at every opportunity there is an attempt to backdate it, or move it's era. One of the reasons for building the mk3 ohle like yourself was for it to be a nondescript region. I feel much the same with the Anglia region, my interest only came about after the transfer of the Class 90s however my mate is from over that neck of the woods and remembers the turquoise days well. I hardly feel we shall see much representation in model form of the region, there have of course been the odd little bits that filter through like the original ONE Railways mk3 from Hornby. You mention the ex virgin stock, one of my prised rakes is my mix and match set. It used to have a VT buffet but have since updated it to an Anglia one. Anyway I am enjoying following the progress of your layout as it ticks all the boxes and with plenty of Class 90 action. You pretendolino rake really is something and I'll be looking forward to seeing a rake of white running around before long. You've managed to bring the interior of the stock on leaps and bounds and it is something I am going to have to look at doing in the future.
  6. I am all for the Anglia liveries, however I'd been keen to see Bachmann do a refurbished DBSO in the Anglia livery along with some mk2s in the turquoise. At least with Anglia stock there is a choice of plenty of 90 liveries to run. ONE Railways always suited the Class 90s. I feel Jack and I share the same view on class 90s
  7. Good Morning, Below you can see the effect we are wishing to create using different levels in the model. The card is being used to demonstrate this until we update to a more permanent structure on the walls. Last night hanging basket liner was ordered to created the embankment close to the tunnel end of the model. The first area we are focusing on is around the board with the 4 track section on.
  8. PS. I tried to rotate the photos with no luck. RMweb kept putting them sideways so apologies for you either cocking your head or turning you monitor sideways ><
  9. Hi All, Yet again there is a new project to get our teeth into. East pool unfortunately suffered when a new roof was required over the shed. However the buildings have been rescued. Although an enjoyable layout and something different modelling the steam era, it's back to the world of modern or semi modern with the next project. We have decided to go with an open frame approach this time. The layout is bases anywhere so we can run a variety of stock. However it won't help but feel like the Midlands in some area. Think Crane Street Junction. The tunnel mouths have been designed and laser cut by the usually source. There is still a long way to go but it gives a flavour of what's to come. The plan is to have a town over the tunnel mouth, well not so much a town as a street, this shall take inspiration from Crawly MRS Wellbridge layout. Lower down the layout shall see a variety of road and canal all crossing over one another adding layers and height to the layout. Over the junction we shall go for the cliche motorway representing something akin to the junction 6 of the m6 however we shall only model one part of this. The two centre lines are capable of bi directional running and this allows a little variety while playing trains. The idea being beyond the tunnel are the platforms of largish station.
  10. I'll go along with what most people are saying on here. In my eyes it's got to be a short lead time. Painted samples to show and the tooling is already underway etc. Back in the days where we had shows you could see an item announcey d and think ah I should have them ready for X show. The quality of your product is always worth the investment, and I am looking forward to running a rake of gbrf hoppers. However as it has been mentioned on here, we've waited for a 92 and now we are waiting again. It's a shame the mk5s have also slipped. When it comes to duplication, if your products is worth it people shall pay it. If Hornby announced the mk5s tomorrow, knowing your quality I'd stick with your investment knowing you shall deliver the goods. span widget
  11. The next task is signaling. I am going to have a crack at the signalling plan however if anyone else wished to have a go on here your advice and feedback shall be gratefully accepted.
  12. Good Evening All, I have neglected this topic for sometime now. The layout is still plodding along despite all the problems in the world. The club had been closed for sometime but has recently opened for it only close again this week. However the short term opening has allowed us all to be able to run some stock and progress the layout a little. There is still a long way to go with the scenery on the layout and what we are going to add. The station building has been painted. I've a few photos and shall add more when the club reopens.
  13. Steve Very good , like buildings

  17. Good Evening, Thank you for saying about the roof, looking at Town Green I guess the stove was moved at some point in its life for the chimney to end up at the front. The box is in its painting stage I shall update with a photo when I have added some fixing and fixtures. Benjamin
