Ahh... Too late... just checked and all 20 sold....

Hmmm.... they have always had the first tranche of Bachmann mk2F’s in stock since their original release... it was after the first releases that were delivered the dispute arose, as I then had to cancel the rest of my Mk2f orders and go elsewhere. I didn’t see anything on Hattons website yesterday that would indicate they have had any new Bachmann stock... I sincerely hope that the two of them can come to an amicable settlement..

My only advice to you is order from a shop/store that has them in stock....

Ghee, A few years ago we were stuck with the Limby 156 model... now we are arguing over weathered window surrounds and rusty exhausts!!!! i ‘I think that 99% of modellers/collectors/fanatics will be happy with the model as is... the model already sets the standards for others to beat, and the care and attention that Charlie spends getting these models as good as they can be for the price point should be commended.

One thing to bear in mind, as more and more models become available only direct from manufacturers, then that’s less and less product/money for the traditional and or mail order model shops....

Well, i’m Looking forward to the arrival of my obsolete, no wow factor class 90, that seems to have been crucified by some, before it’s even hit the shops....

Just to echo your thoughts, let’s keep the models to a realistic spec and price....

The Scotrail spot livery looks a lot better than their effort with their spotrail class 156....

I Remember when the slabs for Dalzell were taken whilst still warm from Ravenscraig, put on to the back of a truck, driven across the waste ground separating the two plants, and taken whilst still warm into the Plate mill.... by the late 80’s, British Steel management, to. Try and make the Ravenscraig works look less profitable, insisted that the slabs for Dalzell were loaded onto trains, taken down to South Wales, or Teesside, then sent back to Dalzell.... they tried every accounting trick in the book to try and make Ravenscraig appear unprofitable.... despite their attempts, Ravenscraig was still recognised as the most efficient single blast furnace plant in the world....

So what detailed improvements would you make to the Bachmann 37 and Hornby 50? Sound? Hornby produce sound versions of their 50’s, and there is after market suppliers of sound projects

Why doesn’t Carlsberg produce a class 37 or 47, they’d probably be the best models in the world?

Thought i’d Give this topic a bump back up again in light of the Cavalex announcement.... My reading of the situation is that Cavalex announcement, is just that, an announcement... there doesn’t appear to have been any significant work done as yet. So, is the door still open for Hornby to perhaps make an announcement of their own Class 91/DVT/Mk4 new toolings?

I’d suggest you do some proper research before you post anything else on the subject..... Constructive criticism put in a positive manner is always appreciated.... making things up isn’t...

Personally, i’d Be in favour of having to use your correct details.... it might stop stop some of the toxic posts on here being given from behind anonymous profiles.... to stop people telling lies then they would need to prove their identity before being allowed access... getting back on topic, I thought the exisiting class 158 tooling was reasonable, and from the standard 3 foot viewing I really wonder how much of an improvement we will see with the new tooling... granted making it dcc ready is somewhat over due...

Seriously doubt it’s a mistake.... I got an email from rails telling me the preorder price had risen significantly.... I simply cancelled the order.... the surprising thing was that the Hornby items I have on preorder that have rolled over into 2019, those prices are being honoured.... I think that tells you it all.... it’s simply a grab for as much money as possible....

No Scotrail mk2’s either..... the mk1 bg scheduled for June....

Why? No crime has been committed.... the police are generally reactive to crime.... Secondly, who is the victim? In all seriousness, most folk will have used a credit card or PayPal to make the purchases... if the website is established to be fraudulent, then PayPal/credit card companies will refund the end user.... Then, it’s the credit card companies that become the victim, as they are now out of pocket and up to them to report same to the police.... Have a read at the purchase protection insurance included in your credit card, you might be pleasantly surprised. If your daft enough to send cash through the post, then you have no protection....

The good thing is you paid hopefully with your credit card, at least you’ll have some protection if it’s a scam....

Totally agree on both counts,... should be under the first window.... And secondly, yeah, it’s difficult to find photos! I was watching YouTube and that confirmed to me that the Bachmann placement is wrong... i’d taken some screen shots from YouTube, but not sure if it’s permissable to post them here....

Plenty of stuff in the Hornby and Bachmann offerings and DJ Models hasn’t disappeared, he’s just communicating directly with the crowd funders, trying to avoid the negativity of some on the forum...

Not quite.... Hattons/Kernow/rails/modelrailways direct/gaugemasters all out of stock for the Scotrail TSO’s.... Hattons and rails have now removed the TSO’s from their sites, whilst the others when you view/select tell you they are out of stock.... I’d imagine that oxfords website doesn’t get updated every day....

West highland line station/signal boxes....sure they would be a good seller....

I think the conversation was in relation to the Scotrail livery TSO’s.....they have all but gone within a a day or two....
