Hi Jol. I am building a rake of LNWR carriages and I can’t get purple lake paint here in Canada. Would you know the correct mixture for purple lake or the plum. Also I’m at a loss for the correct lining I’m building the ratio models the 50ft arc roof type. Any help would be appreciated. Keith

I don't think I can help at the moment.
My collection of LNWR reference books is still packed after a house move and the construction of the new workshop building is on hold owing to the pandemic, so I won't be able to sort them out for some time.
An enquiry to the LNWR Society might produce an answer;

I originally used Phoenix Precision Paints LNWR Coach Plum and later had some cellulose paint matched to that for spraying with an airbrush. I have never used any car paint aerosols other than primers or satin/matt black so don't know what might match.

Succesful test seesion with London Road over the weekend, apart from more signal servo problems.

Not chattering, but apparent failure of one MERG Servo 4 (no response to switches or the MERG set up box although it did send the servos to the extreme end of travel), a servo on another board and one dead channel on a Heathcote board. The layout hadn't been set up fully and run since ExpoEM last year. So far a jury rig on the bench showed the "failed" MERG unit now worked okay, but I haven't got around to the others yet.

Hooray, nearly finished lining out seven LNWR carriages. Just got to fix transfers, varnish, glaze, add roofs, bogies, etc. At least the end is in site and then on to the next kit.

Sherwood models might just have come to the rescue!

Watched the Red Nose show/event last night and reassessed my view on what "life's difficulties" really means.

What is it with today's "kids".......every other word is LIKE! Argh! Can they not use it correctly? I'd rather listen to a Neanderthal man conversing , atleast there is more guttural expression in his utterings! WAKE UP children you won't find the word being used in books or even your favourite television programmes!!! Rant over thank you

Scratchbuilding a balsa plane. Wish I had a laser cutter. Its so fun to spend 10 minutes cutting and sanding a part just to have it snap in your hand.
