  1. Read a really good book the other day - "The History of Glue". Very interesting, couldn't put it down.
  2. Great layout Arthur. We did a field trip to Middleton in Teesdale when I was 8 or 9, my project for the week was on the old railway! Brings back a lot of memories - thank you. Cheers, Steve.
  3. Hi, More info at: http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/28782-locomotive-rolling-stock-manufacturers/ Cheers, Steve.
  4. A termite walks into a bar, asks "is the bar tender here?"
  5. Indeed... Meanwhile, young lady walks into a bar, asks the bartender for a double-entendre, so he gives her one. Cheers, Steve.
  6. Hi Dale, just found your layout thread. Looks great. I like the step-by-step approach and also the 'rotating' 3 panels for exhibiting. That's a new one for me. Will follow your progress. Any news on a name? Location? Cheers, Steve.
  7. The whole railway looks great! Nice work (like the castle walls), I'm sure TSC is delighted. ...and the trusty H&M Duette! Cheers, Steve.
  8. Just received a Bachmann DCC class 105 from Hattons, looks great. Just need some track actually wired up to my NCE to test it! Should note that I'm in Boston, US. so local model shops are only usable for scenically and control. Back in the UK, used to use Norman Wisenden's in Greenfield. Cheers, Steve.
  9. Unless I'm missing an eBay rule / practice / odd algorithm... If you search for "Hornby kit kat" (long story) one of the 'buy it now' entries is from our friend Gostude at GBP12.50 + free postage. http://m.ebay.co.uk/search?cad=1&so=12&isRefine=true&cmd=SREF&kw=Hornby+kit+kat&pgn=1 If you then click on it, you suddenly get GBP8.50 postage charge. So unless you notice it, you may be paying more than you bargained for. Shifty?
  10. That's a great find / buy. Well done!
  11. Hi Adrian, Appreciated the backstory, makes the pictures more engaging. Do you have a trackplan? I'm tring to figure out the 'long run' Cheers, Steve.
  12. Hi Bomp, Just discovered your thread, lots of hard work and progress over the months (like the sweeping curves and different layers). How's the new cat? Cheers, Steve.
  13. ... and a crimson lake tank engine??
  14. Hi OzzyO, That's s great photo with the blue CoBo! BR blue, steam, 16 tonners and a coach on the same siding, breakdown crane, lots of activity... and in colour. That's a model layout in itself! Cheers, Steve.

  19. Great stuff! Big challenge though. It'll take more than a quick rub with Brasso. 2017 run date?
  20. Hi Gents, Just found your layout. Some great work and helpful step-by-step updates. The new club room looks a lot bigger and construction-friendly. Have you chosen a specific period for the model? (Sorry if I missed it and no rolling stock images yet). Cheers, Steve.
