  1. Hi Simon, The TPWS is suppressed at Thurso, Wick and Kyle for 10 minutes to allow for any station/dispatch delays. Graeme
  2. It did get confused at Georgemas when a token is issued to a train going to Thurso and one gets issued to Forsinard from either the Up loop or the siding and thinks there's going to be a collision despite the motorised points being set for the Thurso train. We didn't realise it would do this at first, so we now wait for one train to 'loop clear' (be clear of station limits) before issuing the token to the other!
  3. I had an article published in REM 147 (in the July 2016 copy of Rail Express) on modelling the RETB which gives a reasonable coverage of how it works. Cheers Graeme
  4. And problem solved! Massive thanks to Olddudders and Andymsa for all their help! Very much appreciated Graeme
  5. No, not at all. I had an issue with the programming track wires (they got damaged during installation) which I have replaced with the red wires (no joints en route). It was after their replacement this situation came up. Prior to this I was using it for about a month. No stranger to DCC btw having had Lenz equipment for about 16 years previously, but every day is a school day etc!
  6. I'm not too sure what you meant there Ian, as I was of the opinion it was constantly on from switching on, however I have got the simple separate track wired up, the throttle set to make the loco move and put the tester on, but still nothing unfortunately
  7. What are the two red wires entering under the connector They are the disconnected programming track wires
  8. The equipment is 6 months old and has been working for one month. The power supply is the one that comes with the kit. The two yellow wires are the temporary leads to the separate track. Even without any connections the led is out....
  9. Hi! I've struck a problem with my Digitrax DCS210+ ...... The Track Status light has gone out and having checked for shorts I have, to double check connected it to a separate piece of track - with the same result. The switches are in the correct positions and I've read the manual but can't find the answer! Any help gratefully received, thanks in advance! Graeme
  10. Producing the rest of the range will hopefully not take too long now with just curved, Y and catch points left. I did ask if they would consider a revisit to the code 75 flat bottom range with prototypical sleeper spacing, but was informed that wasn't on the plan unfortunately. Which is a shame really as the bullhead pointwork looks a bit odd next to its flat-bottomed counterparts...... Cheers Graeme
  11. I'm pretty sure Hurst Models made/make them. I used Craftsman (remember them?) Class 31 multiple working sockets, which were almost identical. Good luck! Graeme
  12. That's the one! Thank you. Adrians caption within pretty much explains and answers my questions. My trawl through Flickr was chasing 73205, not 83301..... As ever, thanks to you all for your help! Graeme
  13. Hi, I read somewhere that when the Eurostar test train with 73205 + 83301 and the TC set ran on the South Eastern Division into Kent it had an RTC allocated class 47 attached. Does anyone know why this was, and why it couldn't just run 47-less like it could on the SWD please? Thanks in advance Graeme
  14. Hot off the press today from Peco HQ: This past year has been a challenging one for everyone and has seen unprecedented increases in sales of our core product ranges, which has meant some delays in supply to model shops, and for this we can only apologise. With the requirement to socially distance our staff safely across our site, this has meant whole sections of our factory being moved to enable Covid safe working. We are pleased to be able to advise that a new production area is due to be ready in a few weeks’ time, and coupled with employing more staff we are gradually getting more items back in stock, but we would ask all modellers to be patient as we work hard to get stock fully available again over the coming months. The need to concentrate on our core product ranges has unfortunately had the knock on effect of delaying some new product releases, some of which are almost ready to be produced, but are awaiting machine time either for plastic mouldings to be made, or for rail parts to be machined to go with the plastic parts. With the items that you refer to the current anticipated release date is now September – December 2021. ......fingers crossed etc! Cheers Graeme
  15. Thank you! That's really helpful! There is a wealth of information that will help me with the project! I'll have a looksee at the KM website too Graeme
  16. Thank you both The Lurker ad phil-b259, Indeed, it certainly wasn't resignalled in the traditional sense but as you say remodelled in connection with the Channel Tunnel traffic in mind. I was given permission to visit, photograph and measure up the box about four years ago. Its not as simple a design as it looks! Internally it pretty much has something for everyone interested in signalling with the L frame and an NX panel all in a very compact space. The yard was very large going by the plans on KentRail and in its heyday a very bustling place. My primary interest is in its appearance through the late 70s and 80s prior to the new bridge and dual carriageway being built, but again I've struck a block with next to no pictures of the eastern riverbank, especially to the northern side. My research trip was very thorough, but I'm not that struck on a walloping great dual carriageway in the middle of things unfortunately! So, if anyone has a pre-1990 picture, or two I'd be enormously grateful. Again, thanks in advance! Graeme
  17. The place was resignalled in 1992 and the centre road altered to trail to the down line at the Week Street/tunnel and booking office end and trail to the up line at the London end with crossovers either side to allow the proposed long Chunnel freights to be looped and all platforms to be accessible from the London end. The short siding was removed at the same time as the resignalling Graeme
  18. Somewhat surprised by their going for a BCK when there is already one to compete with. A BFK would have probably finished the MK1 brake vehicle set.... Graeme
  19. Good morning! According to the 1962 resignalling notice, there was a double slip at the London end of the station on the down line to access the bay and yard. However while researching I found this fine image on Flickr which shows a facing point only to the bay from the down line. Can anyone throw any light on whether this was a temporary measure or if it was permanent, when was it made and where was the crossover for trains from the bay/yard to access the Up line please? Thank you in advance! Graeme
  20. Does anyone have a set of nameplates for 73126 'Kent and East Sussex Railway' made by LFC in 4mm please? Thank you in advance Graeme
  21. What if.....its not a HAA MGR wagon they've got there and they're doing its smaller brother, the APCM gypsum hopper that worked between Mountfield and Northfleet? For ever in anticipation.......
  22. I emailed them on Friday last and they say they will be released during February. Although they didn't specify which February, I think it's this years one! Cheers G
  23. Added my details to the spreadsheet, £30 paid on 05/10/16 for the 00 92 project on invoice 0322.
  24. Hi Graeme, There was a flow to Ashford in the late 80's from Whatley. It used to be unloaded in Powell Duffryn's coal depot at Ashford where there was a hopper discharge. Although it appears to only run three days a week it was actually an "either / or" working. On Tuesdays and Thursdays it ran to Sevington supplying roadstone for Channel Tunnel terminal construction. On the days it didn't run to Ashford (Mon, Wed, Fri) it could also run as 6Z06 08.10 Whatley to West Drayton ARC Terminal. Note: We didn't include the West Drayton or Sevington terminals on the map as we've not come across any photos of the PTAs in these trains yet, although other boxes were used on the Sevington trains. Doesn't mean they never went there of course. If anyone has photo evidence, feel free to share! The inners for both British Steel liveries have been very popular so far! Thank you to everyone who has placed an order. Cheers! Fran Good afternoon, Thank you for that Fran, credit card duly exercised for an inner and outer set (thanks for the 10% discount too), looking forward to running them on Maidstone East in the new year! Might have to invest in a(nother) 56 to haul them...…. Cheers, Graeme
