      my first big boys bike was a CBF600S, similar motor to the CBR but with a heavier steel frame, great in traffic but dull on the open road. I always fancied the 900cc Hornet with the twin exhausts but instead moved on to the VFR750 which was a great all rounder

      The VFR engine is possible the most stupendous power unit ever put in a motorcycle. Ubfortunately, the one I had was an early model with a single-headlight that was so bad the bike was unrideable at night.

      No it's the full programme but comes with a time bomb. After 3 year's it stops. But this can be trun of by going into the main settings

      How ever if you turn it back on by mistake autocad will jumpon you from a great hight.

       

  5. six weeks and no cigarettes. so have bought the cauliflower chassis. a few more weeks of of not smoking and I'll have enough to buy the wheels for the cauliflower and Midlands 2f. starting to like this none smoking malarkey.

      Well done and keep going. I gave up 16 years ago after 25 years smoking and several attempts to give up. This time used the ciggie money each month to buy locos, kits and power tools. So could see a reward each month

      If Physics is available - and you're happy with it - it's probably the one to go for, but it sounds like you're thinking in those terms already.

      To be honest with myself. I suppose I'm leaning towards physics. I blame open university on BBC 2. I used to love watching them when 4 5-6. It even made me put down my lego. Though history on the industrial revolution and early railways, with the promise of the NRM Leicester plains is very tempting

      Chris leigh Are they still available. I found Genesis do the cab and bogies. But I'm sure someone did the other coach that Triang didn't. Plus some underfloor plus roof details.

      I'll have more time over the summer break so the inspection saloon will be done then though some some work has been done but it's mainly construction line at the mo , i may look at the two royal saloons too as i have the drawings for them. I just need the time to do drawings

  17. Is wondering how easy it would be to fit Alan Gibson wheels with 2 mm axles to a Bachmann WD?

      No idea haven't taken them out yet. The model was bought with valve and connecting rods taken of by a prat which a left a screw broken inside the wheel. So was after a new set of wheels and was offered a set of Gibson's. Or should I keep looking for a set of Bachmann ones?

      The Oxford Diecast Leyland Titan bus mentioned above, is modelled on route 625 to Loughborough via Mountsorrel, so probably a route from Leicester to Loughborough

      I bought mine from Historex Agents, who I believe were in Dover (perhaps they still are?).
