Probably the reason why I'm moving into o gauge, rtr seems to turn up more or less on time and if it doesn't exist I can do the kits instead. Each to their own I suppose.

To be honest I'm getting fed up with the whole oo gauge habit of announcing models years ahead of them becoming available. It's not just kernow, im sure their intentions are good but Bachmann are quite bad at it too, seeing models in catalogues year after year after year is for me a little pointless. Not for me I'm afraid.

Sorry chaps sort of lost interest after 7 years and don't think I can justify paying full money for something that might never turn up.

Wild idea I know but set the price to include a contingency for rate increases etc. See if people are still interested then if the cost turns out to be less then reset the price to the lower level. Acknowledged it could always go even higher but I can't think of another way. How much would YOU be prepared to pay for these models?

Back to kit bashing, ah well it had to come, nothing like a bit of progress back to the dark ages I suppose.

Well done Steve this is a great model, mine arrived today and I'm pleased I went for sound it's the best I've heard, the light/heavy load function is a lot of fun. Does Paul do any other sound for other locos? I'm pleased I waited to add sound to my other locos because this is very good. Can't wait to order the Ruston.

I preordered a loco without sound is it a simple matter of adding £100 to my payment and if so will this delay getting the loco. Thanks

I think the 60 was probably a poor choice for them to start with, I was surprised when it was announced. The 56 has a large crossover of eras if not steam in that from br blue right up to the present day, the key one I think being br blue and large logo br blue. I will go for a centre headcode 37 soon. Fingers crossed eh.

Thanks Rich, I'm trying to control the cost ha ha! I thought 15 would look long enough in the garden must be getting near 4m long with the loco. It would be great if Heljan did some 56's, I know the chap at Howes said Heljan were considering it last summer so fingers crossed.

I hope the likes of hattons can cope with demand. Not sure what a realistic rake in 7mm would be I was thinking of 15 it might give a good illusion, any thoughts on rake numbers?

My green un numbered with wasp stripes arrived from hattons today, great service. First impressions were the livery isn't as good as the blue. The green for me is way too dark and the black surround to the radiator will need spraying yellow, also the br emblem looks like one of those faded ones, its very light. Anyway I've decided to tops number it so plenty of weathering will sort out the green and the light emblem will look realistically faded so I'm sort of happy. Not bad for £169. I just hope they sort out the livery for the next release. Holding out hope for a class 13.

One for me too, enough of these big locos, small is beautiful and made in Britain by the sounds of it!

If it makes you feel better and it is a type 2 class 24/1 I hope, i' ll have two to pull my consett ore hoppers.
