Any chance of a Class 13 in the near future?
  2. Great, thanks for the prompt reply. These decoders seem good value with other makes approaching £200. Email to follow, thank you.
  3. Is there going to be a dcc sound fitted option and if so how much will it cost.

Brilliant model runs well and looks the part too, well done Dapol. Livery is very good, got mine buffered up to a blue falcon. The wife says it needs a driver now!

Mine arrives today and looking at the pics on hattons website it looks good enough for me, i think model of the year should be the class 15 with the 08 a close second. Well done Dapol.
  6. Hi Steve, been out of the rail modelling loop for a couple of months, these decals look great, any update on a release date ish.
  7. When I first picked up the loco the body slipped slightly off the chassis which didn't seem right and I think you're right the screw points need to be fixed otherwise the body isn't restrained. I've checked the chassis height at all four screw positions and they are the same.
  8. Received my green full yellow ends -fantastic and I like it. I have noticed the, plastic body is twisted slightly when you eye down the top of the headcode boxes you can see it there, has anyone noticed it. With the body off it is fine so maybe the issue is with the chassis, I'm thinking of using packs on the screw points but I did notice the screw points are on sliders and these move up and down not sure if they should be gluesd in position. Sorry for being vague but wondered about anyone else having the sane issue.

Who is this Richard Webster chap I've never heard of him, sorry for my ignorance. I might just be altering my 08 order!

I agree I thought the surrounds were usually yellow, totally changes the look of the front end and agree and the roof was always blue, silly errors really. Looks like they might have to go into the paint shop when they arrive.
  11. Pleased I'm an eastern man I'm cleaned out. With the forthcoming 08, 37, 05', 45 and 25,
  12. Thanks for your comments about modellers making their own decision on liveries etc. I had a good think about my choice which was going to be br green small yellow panel but I thought modelling one of the last lingering br green tops locos would be interesting. I need to find a good weathering company I'm not making a mess of it! I will look on the headcode sizes when it arrives but I'm guessing on the smallest characters and the narrowest box type. Getting the head codes right in my opinion can alter the whole face of a loco.
  13. I'm guessing the character sizes are the small ones but will check when it arrives.
  14. I said I wouldn't but I have! Just ordered green full yellow front ends and it's coming tomorrow! Going to do 25043 in tops with precision labels 0000 head codes, just hope there are some blanking panels inside if not I'll make some! Never dithered over a model this much before!
  15. The detail changes are fascinating on this model, for me the fact that the flat end is accurate for a particular works in Derby has sold it for me, I'm pleased the buffer beam issue can easily be sorted as that would bother me. As for livery I could overlook this but my purchase will definitely be green, I've even considered green full yellow ends and tops numbered aka 25043. What a nice day to ponder my purchase, it's driving my wife mad though she just doesn't get it! I am a convert to this loco now shouldn't have doubted it in the first place but we all make mistakes!
  16. Thanks for the photos you really are not helping the situation ha ha. The weathering looks stunning, I have several Heljan diesels and tend to overlook all the niggles I agree they are good value for money. One question how bad is the bent buffer issue I take it you have probably sorted it out.
  17. Really undecided on this now, I've looked at dozens of pics and would agree that there are differences between the works in detail. I like others can kit build but really don't have the time so there lies the dilemma, it looks a cracking model to be honest and now I have to decide blue or green. It's going to be an expensive few months coming up in o gauge rtr!

I'm pretty cool about waiting till xmas. After you've had a loco on order since 2010 you tend to get used to it Kernow Class 41 you know I mean you!
  19. A thumbs down for me on the nose issue, no purchase here I 'm afraid and I'm not averse to the odd error, I have and like the class 40.
  20. Well guys I got that fed up waiting for the d6xx from kernow I've moved up a gauge, jltrt seemed to manage a model no problem and what a cracker it looks to be.
  21. Ha ha yes optimistic don't forget the kernow warship fiasco I've had one on order since 2010,
  22. I will do that thanks, been looking forward to one of these for years never thought I would see it happen.
  23. When will locomotion start taking orders and when is delivery planned.
  24. Might get one renumber it 46009 and run it in the garden into my thermos flask to test its ability for tea leakage. Those of you old enough will have a faint idea what I am getting at. Utterly pointless waste of a loco I know.
