I seem to recall reading somewhere that they worked on the Kingsbridge Branch as well as being used for the Saltash and Tavy services.

Not heard of them on the Kingsbridge line. The locos for there would normally have come from Newton Abbot. The railmotors in the early 1900's sometimes came up the branch from Plymouth though.

Think the 64xx's used on the Kingsbridge line were used for a number of years under the auspices of the area manager for Brent-a Mr R. Sweet according to my source
