As you're the first to get yours @The Great Bear would it be possible to do a full review please. Also , my order with Rails, they have honoured the pre-order price of nearly three years ago at £142 , which offsets the need to get a new smokebox door nicely.

It does look like it's the whole batch are fitted with an incorrect door as seen by this Rail's example.

More on the bespoke destinations you can get from Precision Labels. A pack of twelve in four different names as shewn here. One of the models from Kernow already has Plymouth and Saltash in the polybag but mine [No.97] doesn't . They are a tight fit and need trimming very close to the letters.

I don't but the names were inspired by your excellent tales on Farthing and were Dickens inspired. Of course Minnie Finching wasn't a Dickens character though and was made up. I'll be taking some more railmotor shots this week so maybe the ladies will feature again.😉

That's also the railmotor [No.45] that ran the short lived service between Saltash and Kingsbridge, usually seen on the Plymouth suburban service, a photo of it is in the Middleton Press book on the branch. Not fitted with boards but mine will be 😉

A feature I do like on the Kernow railmotor are the blank destination boards that come with it. You get four in the polybag and I've liaised with John Peck at Precision Labels to produce bespoke destinations in self adhesive vinyl to fit to these. More on these anon.

Dapol have form in doing a post war GWR model like this, working maybe from a photo of the period. They don’t communicate so good luck in getting one from them.

The smokebox door is/was available as a spare and we’ll need it by the looks of it as Dapol have fitted the BR one on her.
