  1. I'm not after one but some folks would love a Hawksworth County on their Southern layouts... @Mallard60022
  2. Having never wired a layout at all, the "two wires"* principle is rather appealing, however it's the decoder cost that's off putting for me. * according to DCC folklore 😉
  3. I'm the same with Templot tbh, I only "draw" crossovers and single points to be printed as track templates. A whole layout, even the small one I'm planning (in my head), feels daunting to create in Templot.
  4. Proving who you are rules you out as a criminal, unless of course one is a criminal in the first place. It'll also save you a trip to the nick for finger printing etc to prove you're not wanted for a crime, should one be under suspicion of such.
  5. Lovely horses @Mikkel where are they from? Edit: Pendon?
  6. Logging into the surgery website for online services using a mobile (smart) phone. Each appears to have a slightly different version but I guess the end result is the same, access to GP services.
  7. I have no problem whatsoever with I.D. cards, I carry my driving licence with me at all times anyway. I also wear my two I.D.'s at work, one of which has my DBS number on it, so 'they' already know everything about me. The other card is a University issued proximity card for door access, cashless vending, library use etc, so they also know where I've been too. I just don't understand the paranoia around national identity cards and find it baffling, unless of course 'we' are a nation of criminals.
  8. My surgery in Radstock has been using this system for months and is it far quicker and efficient than it ever was before. I can get answers/medication/appointment dates within hours (if not within the hour) using it. I cannot fault it. Edit: My dad's (he's 85) surgery swapped to this system a month or so back and he was invited in and given lessons on how to use it. Patients at his practice can also still phone in for appointments etc if they don't have a smart phone or computer to access it's services.
  9. Is he still trading in any capacity?
  10. Replica do a not too shabby version for those what's not in a hurry. http://www.replicarailways.co.uk/menusep3/menuselfassem
  11. Love foamex, used to make exhibition graphics panels out of the stuff. I hadn't really thought about using it for fascia or backscene's but as you say, rigid yet curvable too.

    On Cats

How very Kayan Lahwi. Looks like it's made it to the vets poor little pussycat 🤭
  13. I'm quite tempted to go this route instead of building totally from scratch. I'm a confident turnout builder (because against all odds, they've all worked) but not so with the thought of a double slip 🤔 Glad to know it's a pleasant experience 👍
  14. You might want to contact @NFWEM57 to do that, unless they and @martin_wynne are one and the same?
  15. It's never been updated since Andrew Mullins time and the handover of the business. As long as you have the email address you can order what you want, get a price and just phone Brian with your card details (even I've managed it 😬). Edit: of course you can do it all by phone if you want to. I'm terrified of the thing's personality.
  16. The B sets, as beautiful as they are, are out of my price range unfortunately. The Toplights @£56 each were at top price point for me, in fact they were £6 over what I would really want to pay. I'm glad these are going to exist and I guess if I was a GWR modeller I might have a different opinion on the pricing. Where's those LSWR Corridor's?
  17. TBH, I'd rather have more details on the outsides and/or a lower price with a non detailed interior. But.... as a thought, and going on from what the Captain said, would it be practical to offer a fully detailed interior with passengers, lighting etc for a premium price or standard interiors like we've had up until now at a lower price point?
