  1. I can remember being in Radstock signal box when it was in use, way back when. I was about 5 at the time.
  2. A Maunsell Q - yes please!
  3. Ebay is now the only supply of Phoenix kits I'm afraid. Worth saving a search and getting emailed when something turns up. ALL IRONCLADS ON EBAY ARE MINE!
  4. Try ebay, I think I saw some the other day (I know nothing about GWR stock, so please excuse if I'm wrong). Cheers
  5. Fair comment. I don't think one could make a living from it but it might work if it were incorporated into other range(s). Maybe like Blacksmith and Coopercraft
  6. he is chris45lsw on here. Good luck, I still email trying to get a definitive answer to "when will my order be processed", but have thus far been ignored after my last couple of attempts (courtesy costs nothing in my book!). SRG are still actively promoting Phoenix kits, (this is from the site today): "The Group also produces the 'Phoenix' range of coaching stock kits for modellers working in 4mm scale, and has an active Sales operation, which whilst catering for the Southern modeller also includes many kits and components for the GW, LMS, LNER and BR modeller". As I have mentioned previously, Chris has had a terrible year, but the fact remains that SRG are still offering the Phoenix range for sale and encouraging new members. I persevere because I want the kits but I'm now am feeling increasingly frustrated and in a way conned by SRG. Time to sell Phoenix on? Cheers

      Weather forecast actually looks ok.

  9. Steady CK, sounds like you're going vege. (Linda McCartney sausages contain no Linda McCartney or any other kind of meat, so don't be fooled like I was).
  10. All the enginemen out of Radstock (S&D) shed. They also had their "Dazzlers" ,(these being from an industrial loco builder - no idea which one - Kerr Stuart possibly?) simply because they were kept shiny! edit: To add links, one with a Bagnall on it (from unravelled's excellent S&DJR Scans thread)
  11. From Antics via Google. Cheers edit: OOPS, just read the small print and yes it's LSWR
  12. Yes they are SR livery coaches so would have run with the Oxford Radial in SR livery.
  13. No, wartime would be "Southern", BR didn't exist until 1948. Can't see a Hornby SR (Southern Railway) livery Radial though (as opposed to the BR Southern REGION / BR{S} liveries in the guises of R3333 BR early crest / R3334 BR late crest) . Cheers edit: Oxford Diecast OO SR 488 Adams 4-4-2T Radial Tank Southern Livery OR76AR003
  14. I'd go the fish and chips route and keep the pies for an emergency. (such as an after the after pub type emergency)
  15. Diagram 99's were Brake Thirds and Diagram 418's were Brake Compo's (Hornby R4717 and R4719) (sets 42 -46) Cheers edit to add the set no's:
  16. Adams 0415 Radial, diagram 99 and 418 coaches, all from Hornby (not sure of exactly which set(s), as I don't have my books with me but sets 42 - 46 were all allocated to the west country). Obviously you have a choice on the manufacturer for the Radial. Cheers
