  1. I do all the time (and not as an experiment!). Well, the water wasn't safe to drink in Radstock when I was a boy younger (and probably still isn't), so it was the "safest" option. Anyway off to Wells now to ask if their trains are Hornby's and OO
  2. If it has downloaded, it will be on your C: (or whatever drive your windows partition is on) in the $windows.~BT folder. That's where I found it on my C: drive, so just deleted it (with no ill effects to date) but I would exercise caution as always with deleting system files. Cheers and good luck
  3. What a PITA! Sorry, don't know what else to suggest, I'm afraid.
  4. "Excuse me vicar, are there any nuns around 'ere about so high?". "No, my son". "See Denzel, I told you, you f*%$#d a penguin".

RIP Sir Giles Lynchwood too. Just been watching my Blott on the Landscape DVD as a mark of respect!

  5. Thanks, I'll keep checking. I'll also ensure that the option to get windows to notify me but not install updates automatically is chosen. Cheers
  6. You need to remove it first (see post #99). Once removed, restart your machine. It will appear again as an "important" update in windows update. Right click it (KB3035583) and check "hide update", otherwise it will keep returning in the list of available updates. Reboot your machine and continue to enjoy RMWeb! Cheers
  7. Go to Windows Update->Installed updates, remove KB3035583. You will also need to hide the update again in windows updates to prevent it from auto installing again since this is marked “important”. Cheers
  8. Always remember: "Bulleid rhymes with succeed but Maunsell rhymes with cancel". Edit: by the way, these are the words of the great man himself, not mine.
  9. Operation, "Shall we go to that lovely market in Wells on Saturday, darling?" is progressing extremely well.

  10. Don't need to set them ablaze, they can quite easily do it themselves, one of OVS's many design features of the class
  11. nothing Southern in that list Rob!
  12. I'm gonna stick with 7 for the mo, but I'm downloading the win 10 ISO from MS for installation later (and after everyone else has suffered their installs, so I can make an informed choice - or something like that). Actually I might just whip out all my SSD's / HDD's and chuck some new one's in (they're cheapish enough these days), chuck 7 with sp1 on, then fire 10 at my machine... or I might just go down the pub and not worry about it? Anyway, link to the MS Media Creation Tool for win 10 if ya wants it (you know you do). Happy PC murdering Edit: Looks like you can do a clean install of 10 if you create a bootable DVD from the ISO (so no need to install 7 or 8.1 first)
