  1. I paid for my order of R3836 when Hornby advised my retailer in mid August, that they would be in stock by end of August. Now my remaining hurdle is whether said retailer gets their order, or will there be a last minute allocation cut!
  2. Hornby website now showing R3836, BR late crest black, as 'in stock'
  3. Rails have posted today, on their website, that the Newton Chambers packs are on their way to them, so must have been despatched from Heljan in Denmark, to UK retailers.
  4. I'm hoping these are nearly at Heljan, as they advised on Facebook that they were on board the shipping vessel on 6th August. They will arrive in Denmark (Heljan) first, before distribution to UK retailers.
  5. I contacted Leigh at Colletts Models, to pay for the 2MT. He said that Hornby had advised that they are expecting the first versions anytime from yesterday to Friday this week.
  6. I've also had notification from my supplier that Hornby are expecting R3836, BR black late crest, to be at Hornby at the end of this week.
  7. Looks like one is an S160 heavy freight loco. They've posted a pseudo order for the S160 in wartime style. Could be a wind up but Facebook responders are taking it as definative.
  8. While not a newsletter, Rapido have posted on their Facebook site, that they have three as yet unannounced models, going into tooling. No further details yet.
  9. Today's Kernow newsletter has advised that these are expected in the next couple of weeks.
  10. Many thanks, just bagged a dc ready split headcode green. Hope it will run with my Accurascale similar green, without too much handbags at dawn. Wasn't going to get a Bach version, till you tempted me. Had to set up my MRD account again, as they have updated the accounts since I last used. They have notified dispatch on same day.
  11. One question is whether Rails will be announcing another Southern based model. Will soon have another answer.
  12. Rails have posted on their website this morning, that they will be announcing a new model, being produced by Dapol, at midday today- 13 July
  13. Just had a text from Royal Mail, advising that they have a parcel for me, on next day, before 1pm Special Delivery. No detail of the supplier, but tracking shows it at RM Swindon, so must be my D1000 from Steam.
  14. Also had the roof curve, but only on one side. I found that one of the inside body magnets wasn't attached, but was held on to it's roof mate. Re-glued in place and the roof fitted without a bend.
  15. Yep, had a phone call 45 mins ago asking if I wished to purchase, which I did, so paid for the loco. Should be dispatched in the next day. It looks like there is stock still available.
  16. Unfortunately I wasn't able to copy the link on the mobile I was using, so have done it now via the laptop: SREmG
  17. Strangely, there is another photo on the SREMG site, the lead photo for the Leader topic, and that shows the loco as considerably higher than the coaches being towed. They look like Maunsell stock. I can't post the photo as that site specifically requires permission.
  18. Update from Rails, who advise they are expected within the next few days.
  19. Great to see this iconic prototype being modelled, it is one of my all time wish list models, but not as a single power car. Will wait to see if other options are proposed. My minimum is the two power cars.
  20. I have received my BR late crest, lovely model, however I've found there is some distortion with the tender wheelbase, which rocks. The wheels are held in a sub frame and not into the tender frames. The sub frame has 4 locating screws, two at the front and 2 at the rear. By releasing tension in these by unscrewing a couple of turns on each, the sub frame and wheels went to a flat and true state. I've found that by not fully tightening the screw on the side with the wheel that was off the ground, the wheels remain square. I had the same issue with my D class so suspect this is a common issue.
  21. Rails now showing these available to pre order from them, with no deposit required.
  22. One thing I've noticed on the early samples, is the prominent underbody ribs, seven, that seem to extend to the edge of the lower car storage area, between the bogies, making them visible from side on. The prototype photos on Paul Bartlett's site, show no visible underside ribs. From the limited photos of the Heljan model, they don't seem to have these supporting ribs visible from the side.
  23. Another update by Rails, posted today. They are expecting the D1s to arrive with them at the end of this week and will start to.process pre order payments.
  24. Rails have posted today that they are expecting them in the next two weeks.
  25. I contacted Rails to update my card this morning, so asked about the expected date for them to have the stock and they advised they expect to have them before the end of June.
