  12. Water Orton - my favourite spotting location!!! Look out for the regular Tuesday gathering, its not unusual to get 15 plus enthusiasts during daylight hours - even at this time of the year!!!
  13. The comment in the Hornby magazine also states " Tooling work for the 00 gauge diesel brake tender model was completed in late November with the first sample expected to arrive imminently for evaluation" So where do Hornby magazine go from here in order to arrive at an accurate model?
  14. Limited edition certificates from --- The " Design Clever " team?
  15. ScRSG --- Thank you for your reply. I will keep a look-out on the 3mm web site and will let you know if the items appear in the future. regards RCAR6015
  16. Have tried to locate the 3mm headlamps on the 3mm society web page - but have drawn a blank. Can someone point me in the right direction - please
  17. 09.32. Just seen a x-country voyager going towards Newton Abbot. Seemed to be going at quite a slow speed
  18. My BR green Class 31 has been received back from Hornby - new chassis and new bodyshell. Looks good and runs very well. ( Currently being gently run-in on my test track oval ) WELL DONE - Hornby and and massive THANK YOU. Also a big - THANK YOU - - to RM web and its members for posting on this topic. Just an few observations on the returned locomotive - D5512 is now - D5511. The shade of green used on the body shell is darker than the original, which had a matt finish. The darker finish appears to enhance the " duck egg blue " body side stripes. A very satisfactory outcome. Will complement my Hornby - Thompson and Gresley BR surburban coach 4 car set.
  19. I made the above post on the 1st February 2012. It would appear that my " guesstimate on the time line for replacements " is reasonably accurate. A " Thank you " to Andy for keeping us updated on the current Hornby reply.
  20. I will be very interested to hear what the reply from Hornby advises. In about 2 weeks time my D5512 will have been back at Hornby for 12 months awaiting repair. Im seriously thinking of sending a 1st birthday card to the Hornby - Customer Care/Service Department in the way of a reminder!!
  21. Would be interested to find out if any other members of RM Web have repairs outstanding prior to November 2011.
  22. Hi - Martin Thanks for your reply. Looking at your address, I Guess the cost of postage back to Hornby cost quite a few $. Just out of interest, on what dated did you return them to Hornby? Mine went back to them during the 1st week in November 2011. Would be interested to find out if any other members of RM Web have repairs outstanding prior to November 2011.
  23. With details being posted on this site about Hornby posting a " warning of no profits this year " I am becoming a bit concerned that if Hornby fold as a company, that I may never see my Class 31 loco that has been with them since Novemder 2011, ever again!!
  24. My Class 31 ( D5512 - green ) was returned to Hornby for repair during the first week in November 2011. I have received several updateds from Hornby by letter the last letter was dated May 2012 when they offered me the choice of either a Regional Railway or Network Rail livery replacement. I have chosen to await a replacement identical to the original item that has been returned to them. I have just spoken to the Customer Care Dept at Hornby, the person advised that the replacement parts due in August 2012 did not materialise. The latest date given to me is for: sometime during October 2012 ( no guarantee ) for replacement chassis and new Green D5512 body shells. So im afraid it appears that the wait from the replacement is rather open ended.
