Presumably a common sign in most of the USA… steve

I had a mate with a Reliant van. One night we’d collected a post-pub Chinese takeaway for the crowd and I was cuddling the bag in the passenger seat. At one , ahem, enthusiastic corner, the body flexed enough for my door to open and half the grub to go flying out of the gap! Short commons for all that night… steve

A photo of your problem, if possible, would help. steve

A shocking example of the debauched rock’n’roll lifestyle… steve

Somewhat unusual spot this morning, a pair of Oystercatchers on our village sports field. Given this is at least 40 miles from the nearest mudflats on the Humber, I was somewhat puzzled. Sorry, couldn’t get a decent photo. steve

More worrying is the report, further down, of the ban on gay students being eligible for leadership posts. This is 2023 not the Middle Ages. steve

Sadly, the layout won’t be at Caistor in October as I am currently unable to attend 2 day shows for family reasons. Set the layout up this afternoon as it is going to Bridlington exhibition on 2nd September. It needed a good clean but everything seems fine. I might yet do some scenery refreshing to liven it up a bit. Ran all the locos and some were a bit stiff. Funnily enough, my last, ancient, Athearn Blue Box switcher ran perfectly. Other, more expensive, locos still need a good run in! steve -

Strange occurrence with car key fobs and central locking

We have a Karoq. That’s twaddle about the special battery. The Halfords replacement works fine! The trick to starting the car (Skoda), when the wireless doesn’t work, is to hold the key next to the ignition button. This will work. steve -
When you have cats, there’s no such thing as YOUR chair… Just the ones they don’t want to occupy at at any given time. steve
