  1. Thanks Jack. I do indeed but think I will be waiting until the Accurascale Transpennine Express MK5’s get delivered. For now they will be a lightly loaded pair of locos. Andy
  2. The controller requires a load (motor) when programming a chip. Put powered car and dummy and code them together at the same time.
  3. Finally for today (will definitely update tomorrow again) we have 67004 in DB livery, a complete repaint from a Caledonian sleeper 67004. Fitted with Legomanbiffo sounds and detailed with driver added and loads of other bits and bobs done, obviously weathered. This will be kept busy on the MOD trains on Badgers Cross. Also I have weathered my first 2 Revolution JNA wagons. Stunning model and when weathered they looks amazing. Just need to do the other 13 now. More will be done this week.
  4. Colas 66846 has also had the extra details doing similar to GBRF 66745. Now looking well used as per the real loco. Also bought myself a WCRC 37248 in a mad rush only to realise after purchased that it’s a 37/0 and won’t renumber/nose change for any other WCRC 37, doh. eBay beckons for this one now it’s weathered.
  5. Some other locos have been back to the workbench for their final detailing and weathering. I tend to find that most the first ones I did I’m not happy with and they require more work which happens on the second off layout visit. Trying to nail all the new locos first time from now on. 56087 has had some coupling attention and further weathering enhancements. 66745 has had lots of detailing doing such as removal of Europorte circles and writing, detailing of lights and end painted over as per prototype. Also cab detailing, further weathering and painting of wheels and pickups! Being done on all locos now.
  6. So a decent update on some of the projects I have on-going. I have this week off so should achieve a lot, fingers crossed. first up 57305 and the first barrier coach are complete (50% of the train I’m modelling), all detailing done and weathered. Loads of details added and scratch built on the coach. The second coach and loco are coming on nicely!
  7. Great pics Jack and Mick the layout is looking super. Shows the modern scene so well.
  8. Thanks for the reply Mike. I will wait out. BTW the product is excellent, as I knew it would be or I wouldn’t have gone out on a limb in the first place. As were the TEA tankers I crowd funded.
  9. 18 mins to reply I would suggest is quicker than an email. By write to you I assume you mean email you direct which I will do. This was the easiest method of getting hold of both Revolution and Trains4u in one go.
  10. Seeing as I am a little miffed at an order of only 11 wagons managed to have 3 incorrect items I shall bring up my other point of note. I ordered 2 of the VTG blue items when they were announced recently, I asked Revolution about putting them in with the other wagons I had on order to save me the postage. The reply was a firm no. Fast forward to today all 11 wagons (3 incorrect) (2 VTG blue in there) arrive in the same box. The box is second hand, (one I think they came from China in), I commend the re-use, merely pointing out that no expenditure has been born by either party for the packing. The package was 3 kg’s and was sent by DPD local (excellent couriers in my opinion). On checking their website I could send the same weight and size of box for £8.99 including VAT, cheap. Trains4u would no doubt be cheaper still with a trade account. But I have paid out £31.50 for postage of 11 wagons. A £22.51 excess (or more). Looking forward to an explanation as to what I have paid for and hopefully a partial refund.
  11. Mine have arrived today and look great but I have received 3 incorrect items. Awaiting your input Ben or Trains4u.
  12. My bad. I was thinking it was much recent than 2010. Sorry.
  13. Thanks Jack. I did know it was in for a repaint. Was very keen to do one of them in ex northern belle. Think as a train with this pair of barrier coaches and 47813 it is interesting on the eye with the various liveries going on. Can also add in some of my FGW/GWR or when they arrive MK5 Transpennine coaches.
  14. Well yet again a massively overdue update is required. I have been doing lots of modelling but not taking many pictures. Anyway hopefully I can get more updates from now on. A few pics of my latest almost complete personal projects. 57305 in its current mainline guise as used by The Rail Operations Group and the first of the pair of barrier coaches it will pull along with 47813 (in paint at the minute). The loco was a nice easy job and I’m extremely happy with it. The coach has taken a good while longer and I have done all the patch painting on both sides as it is seen on the mainline today (will take some better pictures). They just need a light dust with the airbrush on the under-frame. Hope you like and will have further pics of the other coach and 47813 soon.
  15. My Kernow GBRF MMA’s have been shipped today. Not long until they are in my mitts.
  16. Probably broken down with an electrical issue.
  17. Great job Mick. I’m looking forward to seeing them at some point. I tend to flit from one project to another so god knows when mine will be completed.
  18. Just a few phone snap of an unidentified DB 66 on Calvert to Acton at West Wycombe, 04/09/19 1924.
  19. We use a Z21 black. A great system utilising the iPad, simple to use and intuitive.
  20. They have arrived on our shores and have paid already. Looking forward to them arriving, hopefully next week.
  21. Yeah I every now and then go out to catch the 1920 ish DB binliner going back to London. I reside in West Wycombe so it’s only a 5 minute walk to watch the trains.
