  1. I can't see a price reduction? Where did you find it please?
  2. So complete guess and ideal speculation, but if they move to tooling in Q4 2016, could be avilable Q4 2017 or early 2018. (Thinking of how long others typically take from stage to stage.)
  3. Very interesting....The Pullmans in this pack appear to have "U" type square windows...... Unless I'm wrong all previous super detail, Matchboard, Steel sided and all steel K have the classic elliptical toilet window. What were the differences between all steel K and 1951 U Pullmans?
  4. Locomotion NRM special edition !
  5. Love the way you can see the Booster set through the window!
  6. 205's now at Rails at sale price....draw your own conclusions........
  7. Same here! Though really hope somebody does the MK1buffet!
  8. I have five of the Dapol Class 73. Four are good runners, the fifth is OK once warmed up. One buffer went ballistic (round from 73101), so I called DC supplies and received a replacement in 2 days - excellent service. Nothing else has fallen off, though you do have to be extremely careful as some of the detailed parts are not very strongly glued. Fine for display, but if you are going to run I suggest that each separate part is checked and re-glued before it falls off!
  9. Ive got five: 73101 OK livery (yes I know it doesn't match) haven't run it yet E6001 OK livery (green a bit light?) But I like it, smooth runner E6003 Livery fine, a bit hesitant runner, okish after 5 mins running E6047 OK livery, smooth runner 73141 Had to return, paint smudge, but replacement fine and smooth runner All have the PCB issue of course. I've added dark grey paper behind the side windows and grills to cut out the view of the PCB. Overall, the chassis is a massive improvement over the Limby, but the body only marginal. The etched grills are an improvement, but it's not a deal breaker for me. They look amazing with the buffer beam plumbing, but then you cant use the coupler. (not Dapols fault!) I don't like the dimples in the roof however. Don't care if that's because of the laser scan, I prefer things to be correct, even if they have sagged in real life!
  10. Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... Discuss! (Nikon P300)
  11. But note, only with a CREDIT card, not a DEBIT card!
  12. Ah! Thought it was the new motor! So having re-tooled the motor, very much doubt that it will be revised further now.
  13. Nop, just arrived, but in a very nice fitted carton, well packed!
  14. Happy to confirm mine arrived today! I love it! Though I'm not expert on this subject, looks great. I'm sure the font isn't correct though. So impressed immediately ordered another !
  15. Detailed front end. Also I've added grey paper behind the windows and grills - better than seeing the circuit board?
  16. Comparison! Think this shows just how good the Lima is for it's age! Undeframe/bogies much better on Dapol. Shame they have gone to all the trouble of the fine grills, which show the circuit board behind!
  17. Just been looking at the new Hornby year book. On page 15 there is a good photo of the class 71 2nd EP. What's intersting is that you can see the Boster set behind the window. A la blue box Cl 43. That would be really great! Anybody who saw it at Warley can confirm?
  18. Happy to confirm I'm stupid! Looking forward to mine arriving.
  19. Now £69.99 at Model Railways Direct!
  20. Yes, I cancelled all my pre-orders for locos (4) Birdcages (6) and LNER teak coaches (4) when this ridiculous price protection period came in. I'd rather miss out than risk paying more for a model that subsequently drops in price. Plus I rather enjoy the game of outwitting Bachmann! Let's see who blinks first!
  21. "The model is still available to Crowd Sourced customers who sign up before the October 1st production deadline." So, deadline passed, I wonder how many orders for each livery!
