  1. Firstly I did take DMU images and attached are 2 of the odder ones I spotted. 4/9/89 Brocklesby 150:143 ?150:126 & 142:076 7/90 Melton Ross no I/D Bit of good luck in 93 and caught 56:061 leaving Grimsby Docks & then again approaching Great Coates.
  2. Managed a quick visit on 31/12/89, pretty gloomy day & probably not that warm too. 47:352 08:332 47:332, probably didn’t bother with other 47’s as rail blue less common sight?
  3. File size & last one from same visit 31:273 on load bank testing?
  4. Immingham Depot as promised. Through work was put in contact with retired driver & this got a number of escorted visits. 26/8/91 45:130 looking very forlorn 26/8/91 47:413 17/11/89 Storage Line 1 L to R 47:299, 47:202, 31:449, 47:411, 31:444 (KWVR) 31:243 & 20:068 Storage Line 2 L to R 20:08, 08:478, 08:543 (Rotherwood) no I/D for brake van or 16t mineral wagon
  5. Another afternoon 6/92 got this little haul. 37:100 possibly ex Grimsby 60:050 Rosebury Topping 60:027 Joseph Banks 37:071
  6. Mentioned earlier that a regular feature circa late 91 & early 92 was engineering working. Generally multiple light locomotive move leaving around 15:00 Friday & returning around 15:00 Monday. Between jobs so managed to cop it occasionally. Unfortunately dates & numbers scanty. Mainly 31’s with some 37’s & odd 47 First image 3/2/92 Brocklesby 31:215, 31:296, 31:511? 37:058 Rest no I/D I’m afraid
  7. File size issues & couple of left overs 10/12/90 47:295 & 47:115 14/12/90 47:423 (Sceptre) & 47:???
  8. Earlier mentioned an oil tank working that utilised pairs of 47’s I enclose a selection from the 90’s All taken at my usual haunt 30/1/90 47:314 (Blackcap), 47:332, & no idea why 31:485 was tagging along 11/90 no identification. 14/11/90 47:319 (Norsk Hydro) & 47:307 (Bunting) 22/11/90 47:319 (Norsk Hydro) & 47:380 Immingham
  9. Possibly lost in crash or originally not the full set. Worked at Immingham for a while and got occasional access to the docks. All taken 6/92 08:445 & suspect loading area Norsk Hydro?? Immingham West Junction Box & ex LNER platelayer hut as bonus. Box colours are ABP 56:076 leaving coal handling plant area
  10. Further images following a repaint Brocklesby 7/8/91 Brocklesby 16/9/91 with quite a full cab Brocklesby 5/2/92
  11. As promised a Class 47 fest. 2 distinct liveries and appears to have been repainted green 7/91 Barnetby 7/90 47.374 & 47.401 Brocklesby 2/11/90 47:401 & 31:156 Brocklesby 10/5/91 47:401 with nameplates “Star of the East” Brocklesby 5/6/91 47:401
  12. Rummage developed into full on attempt to sort loose images. Next in line 47:401 & then Immingham Depot Firstly Barnetby 16/8/90 47:295 & 47:054 Brocklesby 22/11/90 60:019 Wild Boar Fell DMU held at signals due to conflicting movement consequent on the track layout at time. Brocklesby 17/11/90 47:224 light engine Brocklesby 17/11/89 37:707 & 37:708 spent a short while in the area and have feeling being tried on the same working that the twin 47’s were on a few months later.
  13. Few more from the rummage, odd one may be re-post from crash Settle 4/9/90 (yes I know & don’t need geography lesson) but first 60 I ever saw 60:006 Great Gable Brocklesby undated with passing 60’s and good timing on my part; 60:014 nearest but no I/D for other. Barnetby 21/6/96 saw roof outline off M180 near Ulceby & did a detour. Wife more than a tad displeased Brocklesby 5/93 31:541 with observation coach
  14. Not the best of images but the first 91 I ever saw. A welcome diversion from Xmas shopping in Leeds 12/89 91:006 as I recall
  15. A rather esoteric solution to weight issues on Lauder Light Railway They did rarely wander to other lines in Edinburgh locality and noted on Gifford branch I seem to recall. Lauder Light was remarkable survivor of a branch line and LRO process.
  16. Some random images from a wide area. 24/2/92 144.007 despite appearances Station was still open at this time. To be honest never ever saw passenger & I was generally only person on platform. Disproportionally large due to Lord Yarborough financial involvement of MS&LR. Equally odd layout as loop line used to run in front of main entrance. 12/12/90 Elsham signal box & suspect colours more accurate/correct than latest from Brigg Undated & no I/D suspect mid 92 (x4 Class 31 with x1 Class 37 at rear) Regular Friday afternoon engineer working with return on Monday PM Sure posted others but lost in crash 15/8/91 possibly 47:314 Suggits Lane crossing looking to Cleethorpes. Visible are interesting wagon & carriage washer 6/91 Brocklesby 31:286 & 31:210 and a tad cleaner than earlier image
  17. Stragglers from my earlier 14/3/91 images post 47:401 I think not long after got another repaint to two tone green & named. unidentified DMU 47:226 (Seagull)
  18. Trip to Brigg Garden Centre with the odd distraction. Stragglers from 14/3 will be added separately. First time for everything. Stopped on A16 to allow plane to take off from Humberside. Apart from Gibraltar any other roads/airport interface issues spring to mind?? Brigg signal box had recent repaint. Now seems to match listed box at Pasture St Grimsby?
  19. Sort of right on the swap: Severn Valley acquired the full brake 70759 in above image and now its a Brk 3rd 24506 on a totally different underframe (original was suitable for scrap only) hence the 3 way swap, I think GCR via Lakeside & Haverthwaite ended up with rare steel panel full brake that is currently very nicely restored as ambulance coach.
  20. Another blast from the past. Images taken west of Brocklesby from farm track. The ground signal has long gone & rather rusty slow line has been completely re-instated. All taken on 14/3/91 150:144 ?? extra numbering on last coach 31:286 under all the grime 56:102 Scunthorpe Steel Centenary 20:176 & 20:098
  21. Brocklesby again & an area that has changed greatly over the years 46:301 2/11/90 60:028 John Flamsteed 6/11/90 37:004 on 14/2/90 37:042 on 14/2/90 Steel billets to Grimsby Docks & was previously generally a pair of 20’s
  22. Few more from the past Brocklesby 47:413 light locomotive 2/11/90 20:121 & a n other undated New Barnetby 26/4/90 47:283 Johnnie Walker 37:184 with rather pie-balled paint
  23. A few more from the box of images. 8/90 47:222 Appleby-Frodingham on fuel wagon trip working to Cleethorpes. Think was a weekly event?? 8/8/90 56:068 Barnetby 26/4/90 56:076 near New Barnetby
  24. Having a rummage & found this. Suspect Haymarket open day circa 1978 I think as Union of South Africa was present I just rushed by & no details 4 years later would be at Waverley Suburban Platform for last rites
  25. Recent grab shot from my daughter who thought I may be interested Leeds
