Work took me to different surgery so just had to stop off. Not sure why Roxton Siding Box still survives the re-signalling. Usual suspects locomotive wise but the Airbus A400M was a bonus circling around. -
Frodingham diesel depot plans and track plans
DOCJACOB replied to darren chpamn's topic in UK Prototype Questions
Suspect you need to look at British Railways Engine Sheds: an LNER Inheritance No 1 & Illustrated History of Scunthorpes Railways Pretty sure the extensive rebuild of Frodingham was covered photographically (including all groundworks) in No 1 but would need to dig it out of my collection. Can message me -
Contract recently awarded (courtesy of lottery funding) for restoration of the remaining Scotch Derrick Crane in Hull Will join Arctic Corsair in a new visitor centre I believe. Suspect Spurn Lightship will be moved there too. All to, rightly celebrate Hull involvement in fishing trade & ship building/repair

On the subject of esoteric locomotive exchange trials the NBR trialled a GWR 2-8-0 and an NER T3 on coal traffic on banks in Glenfarg -

The golden anorak may have the answer? To be fair the NBR Atlantic had a troubled birth with arguments at very high levels. Even Ivatt & Raven were called in? Screen shot from the relevant book may clarify. -

Making a stout effort at being a “gold medal anorak” should point out the horse hauled dandies were noted elsewhere on NBR system. North Berwick branch having a unique position due to (in order) Steam, Dandy, Steam, Diesel & Electric haulage. -

The coach will be Midland & North British Joint Stock. Same image in NBRSG archives Still doesn’t explain the locomotive but not a unique occurrence all be it later timeframe. -

Not been here for few months and clearly infrastructure team have been busy. I understand empty TPE stock working this AM and not the reason I was there at a stupid hour -
Gastric S/E from ordinary Metformin not that uncommon and may resolve/improve on changing to the modified release version

Just doing aimless trawling myself and Ernie’s Railway Archive on Flicker has 2 Eyemouth images from 1929 and appears to confirm position of ash pit and planking top to water tower
-
Yes it is in photo archive for members Narrow search parameters to Eyemouth. Think few entries for Burnmouth too??

Sorry not sure biscuit orange with blue lettering is 100% correct? Was to be a repaint project but not cheap, duralumin seems to have weathering coating so issues with stripping & primer. Plan B is the Hunslet Yardmaster -

On slight plus point BR CCT and a Dogfish ballast wagon full of ballast & vegetation arrived at Lincolnshire Wolds Railway recently. From a purely local interest however what happened to William the Sentinel shunter ex Courtaulds Grimsby??
-
It is brick base and 2 images in NBRSG archives may be helpful for pipework too??

Coaches made by Brown, Marshalls and Co. Ltd.
DOCJACOB replied to Petri Sallinen's topic in UK Prototype Questions
Covered a bit in early days of GNSR Coaches by K Fenwick Lightmoor Vaguely recall oval panels on doors were an Ashbury trademark as supplied to North British Railway. -
Seem to recall that 2 height loading banks were common in Scotland, possibly specific to Scotland Usually difference was more than 18 inches though. Think height of a 7 plank wagon was more common & allowed tipper truck to empty contents directly into the wagon?

Think City of Wells turned up once for filming of Ferro Rocher advert too. Have photos somewhere but late PM and pretty dark as I recall. -
No problem, guessed you had a number of others, found it on CRASSOC which is odd for NBRSG man Totally agree fascinating image for all the reasons given. From personal interest the NBR tarpaulin causes an extra degree of curiosity.
