  1. Jeff I spent some time last night & will continue later going through your Cobalt pages along with control a great help thanks. I have query though about track (because I couldn't find it in the wonderful index) distance between track in maintenance / shunting yards, would you generally have a greater distance in these areas (in the real world) for safety, say 10 ft throughout rather than six foot. Your comments & of course fellow Lunester comments would be gratefully received.
  2. John Well, things seem to be moving on since I last called to see Lincoln Central, You mentioned a few posts ago that you had problems with some Cobalts, what was the problem with them.
  3. Nick I haven't been here for a long time but your great work continues, spent the last hour catching up on your thread here, a real pleasure, thanks.
  4. Polly First of all a bit late but seasons greetings. 20 pages moving towards 500 replies because its fascinating stuff, onwards to a 1000 replies then
  5. Jeff I had noticed that there didn't seem to be much modeling going on regarding KL, I just put it down to the Christmas / New Year break but given your post above I thought I better delve back a bit further, I now see the issue, moving house is always stressful but will be added to with all the work you have done over the past 18 month or so. It looks like you have plenty of advice being given to you from all the right people. I am also sure you will plan things down to the nth degree with military precision. So I am sure your phoenix will rise again in a few months.
  6. I go away for 6 months and what happens, another 1000 or so posts to catch up on, great progress here. Note to self "must get back more often"
  7. John I have just had to take stock of where my plan was going, for a first attempt I was trying to do to much, my quarry as had to go but may be able to keep a loading area. I shall be calling by regularly to see how things are going and hopefully pick up a few tips. I don't know where I would be without all the Lunesters on here.
  8. Its good to see that you have kept up the high standards in my absence

  14. I though I had seen something like it somewhere on the telly or similar Its those two old codgers of Trebudoc
  15. That last photo sets a very nice scene, although as you say maybe a little to green
  16. Wonderful bodging there Have you ever thought about doing a video of the back-scenes I'm sure we would like to see how its done

  18. Well all I can say is ramble on Jeff, That's why we visit, to find out what you and our fellow ramblers think. It is very quite, I have a few other things to do today away from Sheddington I am still managing to visit our fellow Lunester sites every now & again but I am filling in with a review or two its that quiet
  19. So how the back-scene coming along then
  20. The plastering seems to be coming along ok It certainly already gives some depth to the project
  21. I am fairly certain there's nothing like that in the Thames Valley Maybe you could build them something like it for them, you could cover London with it
  22. More great videos there Nick, I always enjoy looking in on you here
  23. I think I will have to try the celotex its available at our local Wickes for £5-59 for the 50mm x 1200mm x 450mm It may well work for my quarry area
