  1. Andy What do you use for ballast, as shown around the ground signal
  2. When I re-watched the videos with Margaret, she thought she was listening to a Peter Cook & Dudley Moore sketch
  3. Andy Have you tried reading the leaves, maybe theirs a clue in what they say
  4. ........ and very good they are too Andy & George really are a great comedy double act
  5. Jeff Good progress here with your re-graded hills, I am sure those smaller formers will look right once covered in your gunk & scenery
  6. Mike A good looking thread going here yet another Lunester to watch, great progress being made. You are obviously putting an awful lot of planning into this project and it's clearly paying off. The station building & viaduct are very impressive, back soon
  7. Andy Have you noticed that Jeff's pulled a bit of fast one on us, a week ago we thought we had got him ready to run a loco on some of his straight sections in the fiddle yard. Well he's gone off at a bit of a tangent or two, building up scenery covering it in plaster bandage & creating the Lunester Lounge area As made us all forget the loco run
  8. Those stills look great showing what a difference a few hours make, pva dried up & vanished, various grasses & colours looking making the scene look very realistic. Great job, and 2000 up well done
  9. Another great video Andy, just watched it sat with Mags (my wife) you've certainly given her something to think about, she's sorting a shopping list out now for scenics, that will go with her building shopping list, your costing us a fortune
  10. Andy You put a silly post on, whatever would make you think Jeff or anyone else would think that
  11. The frames & backboards are coming along nicely there, plenty of room for you to set the scene, have you been watching andyp's videos (tutorials) so that you can paint your own backgrounds (Edit) I am talking about the scene above your built up scenics
  12. A great scene there, I can easily imagine standing on the platform taking in the atmosphere
  13. First time I had seen BCB yesterday or really taken any notice of it, I didn't know what I had been missing, a great layout, will now have to read the thread from the start and follow its ongoing progress
  14. I'm sure every one noticed Andy, we just didn't like to say Senility reigns amongst the Lunesters
  15. You are of quite right to take this subject seriously, I actually work on an RAF base with fast jets & don't go anywhere without some sort of ear protection, I also have a basket down in the shed which holds, ear plugs, dust masks, safety glasses, various types of gloves etc. enough for myself and any visitors, also nearby are a first aid kit & fire extinguisher. We should all take H&S seriously but it is easy to knock due to a perception we can not do certain things any-more i.e. not allowed to play conkers any more, well we are aloud to
  16. Nick Great work there, the detailing of the wagons is terriffic
  17. Now lets not go to overboard on the health & safety, we dont want what we are doing to become notifiable to the HSE, they'll have us doing risk & method statements for the slightest thing. Jason would have to have scaffold round most of his buildings whilst he constructs them. Trying to build scaffold in 4mm would be far to fiddly, even worse in 2mm
  18. Rob The Walschaerts Gear in motion gif can be found at Wiklipedia Walchaerts the animation is a gif. file, you are free to download it from there (differant sizes are available), you can also google Walschaerts and you will find many images again you need the gif type for the movement. It is quite eye catching, I had a bit of a problem getting it as small as it is, I didn't want some enormous thing there that some people may find annoying. Great photo you've included above
  19. Great pic Andy spot on I'm sure it was often difficult to see through the windows on the prototype because the rolled glass would distort the image, I'm just amazed you took the time to use the same rolled glass in your model, must have been very difficult to work with, bad enough when its full size
  20. Jason That row of terraced houses going down the hill look so true to life, they remind me of somewhere in my past, make just outside Holbeck in Leeds
  21. Jeff The lines youve drawn on are a great help in seeing where your going with this, certainly helps me visualise what may be coming
  22. Jeff A good bit of planning there to ensure you had post 4000 free for an update of the index, you only had to fill in for one post (3999) although you did have to stay up in to the wee hours to achieve it. Your a true trouper lunester
  23. Andy I for one am looking forward to the pics of the signal box having had my appetite wetted by your previous efforts, great work
  24. Some great information shown throughout this thread, well worth re-visiting, must make some notes
