  1. Lenz V60, watch the driver at 1:40 - 2:25
  2. That is excellent. I love the simplicity of it which woks so well in the large scale.
  3. Like many "disasters", its a combination of multiple "little issues" all cropping up at exactly the wrong moment in time that leads to "the well planned system" being overwhelmed and failure occuring. Luckily in my time at sea, most were remedied at the little issue phase, apart from a very large vehicle deck fire that was caused by external circumstances. A vintage car on a trailer caught fire and spread rapidly as it had a fibreglass body and was parked next to a curtainside trailer. Fortunately, crew training and a very heavy duty sprinkler system extinguished it in about 40 minutes. The adrenalin rush took much longer to subside.
  4. Yes crew did very well is an exceptionally scary situation. One does wonder how the original design got approved and signed off.
  5. Thats correct. The report is here if anyone want an interesting read. The cover photo alone is enough to get ones sphincter twitching. https://dmaib.com/reports/2013/emma-maersk-flooding-on-1-february-2013/
  6. Yes, although I do think Emma Maersk is a rather curvacious lady.
  7. Hi, does anyone know the above please.
  8. Seeing as this is pretty much a "clean sheet" design from the various manufacturers, has any decision on couplers been made yet? Here is an ideal situation for them to produce something that is small, discrete and works well. Hopefully we dont get abominations like the Arnold N gauge coupler or slightly smaller tension locks.
  9. Thanks. It was the extra hood behind the cab that confused me.
  10. If you are modeling, maybe ask what the retailer will do as "store credit" to spend on something else. WIll probably be a better offer than cash.
  11. I really like the Dapol screwlink couplings and fit these as standard on my O gauge rolling stock.
  12. Thanks I had a look at that. Logically, I would have thought that would take me to the top of the next page, not the bottom.
  13. Hi, not sure if its just me but I have an issue when I click on the next page button. The following page will load at the top, but then jumps down to the last post at the bottom, meaning I have to scroll back to the top again. Thanks.
  14. I did think about that, but thought it best to keep that thread a bit more factual. Although, this might not be that far from the actual truth. 😀
  15. Wow, sounds like a right xxxx storm and a hosting company staffed by muppets. No wonder it was so much work to migrate. Many thanks for your work and getting there in the end. 👍 Do you have any recourse against Dediserve for failure to deliver service and loss of data?
  16. FOS Kits and Bar Mills have a few small buildings in their inventory that might be suitable. Small and mimimal, but still big enough to provide a purpose for the railway to be there. https://barmillsmodels.com/product/rea-depot-at-cranberry-yard-ho/ https://barmillsmodels.com/product/springfield-stations/ https://fosscalemodels.com/collections/ho-scale-kits/products/yard-office-three-ho-scale-kit https://fosscalemodels.com/collections/ho-scale-kits/products/tower-two-ho-scale-kit If you dont like wooden kits and prefer a plastic one, the Woodland Scenics depot kits might work. https://railsofsheffield.com/products/woodland-scenics-wd239-flag-depot-hooo?_pos=19&_sid=a0de7ebb6&_ss=r
  17. Wow, almost 6 years. But well worth waiting for. I am envious of the new owner.
  18. Forum administrator actually. So yes, I do have experience in dealing with hosting providers.
  19. I am surprised the server hosts havent been booted out in favour of a provider that can adequately support the site. Or at least been threatened that is what is going to happen.
