I think the reason why no d/light is that when they first came out the Atlas wide/cab locos were all fitted with lights but not the C units, in real life the CN locos are UP/CNW repaints so Atlas are using the old body. The loco takes a 8 pin chip but I think I'd need something with 4 or5 functions, the more I look into it the more I like a nice set of dummy lights
-
Sorry I should have said its a Atlas HO loco, but thanks for the help its given me somewhere to start
-
I'm about to buy a Atlas Dash 8-40 in CN livery but the only thing that spoil's a really nice loco is that its not fitted with ditch lights a must I think for a Canadian loco
Anyway is there a after market kit I could fit, while remembering I'm the guy who believed them when they said "DCC is only two wires"
As always any help is very welcome.

I always find it odd the way companies try very hard not to give info' out. The Scale Trains SD40-2 looks a great loco I'm about to order a NS unit (none sound)
The loco has a great lighting layout with front and rear ditch lights...or it has as long as you fit a ESU LokPilot 21 pin chip! Which is the only chip the loco is wired for. It sounds a lot like a Dapol loco I had trouble with
-
Hi, thanks for the info' yes that is the stick/pole I saw, its a good idea when you think about it. Looking at the video, training day's on the NS must have been great fun
-
While watching a number of DVD's showing NS train crews changing over, a number of the times one of the crew seems to carry a 5 to 6 foot silver pole. At first I thought it was something like a shunter's pole but why would they need that? Please don't say for shunting
-
I've never seen a light of that type before seems a little small? Saying that the area the loco was working in did not seem a 'after dark' kind of place
-
The only photo I can find that looks close is 9734 which is a rebuilt GP18, whatever the model is it looks nice
-
And the drink, don't forget the drink

I've ran my LNWR loco on a test track with 4 code 100 points and then code 83 points without any problems.
The derailing problem seems very hit and miss
Can anyone tell me who would do replacement number plates for this loco? Thank you.
-
Just a thought which sadly has nothing to do with your missing handle, but would it be possible to back date a Bachmann G2 to when it ran in LNWR livery?
Please keep answers clean.
-
My loco is still in the post so I've never ran it, but will the whole batch have this running problem? I'm only going from what people in the know are saying but would the sellers in my case 'Rail's' take the item back? I still have nightmares about my two Heljan class 17's
-
Wow, if only you could get that sound in HO even I'd buy it
-
I have managed to order by phone, and the items arrived swiftly. On another occasion I had to chase it twice before anything arrived, but I got them eventually and he didn't charge me until they were sent. I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt, and say that he is incompetent, IT illiterate and absent minded rather than deliberately fraudulent. Not the right guy to be running the business though!
I think its more a case of he is taking orders and payment for items that are not in stock, if he had said my item was on back order I would not have a problem.
-
I've just looked at my order page and its been changed to 'pending' 7 weeks ago it was about to be posted!
Of course the payment was paid by the bank a day after I first put the order in?
-
Well I don't know the in's and out's of what's going on with Coopercraft, but what I do know is I paid money for a kit that was shown to be in stock and I've received nothing not even a answer to
my e-mails. If I say what I'm thinking right now I may get asked to leave.

Thanks for the intel on these Mick. When I checked the website, the DRS ones were sold out although they still had some Scotrail versions - nice.
I've now taken the plunge and ordered some Railtec transfers to apply to some repainted mk2F's
Hi, I've sent off for a set of transfers may as well have a go, the vinyl's sound like fun
-
I have 68005 DRS & 68006 Scotrail but now I must ask the age old question where can I find Scotrail coaching stock ?...Its a hard life
-
Glue on me name plate, funny paint jobs the list is never ending, I don't think people outside of our world understand just what a hard life we have
-
The buy of the week on @-bay DRS 68005 DCC Ready £214 and it has glue on the name plate

Gosh, Hattons dispatch time is terrible. Ordered yesterday and not dispatched today. #NotImpressed.
maybe something simple...they just don't like you

Knowing this tread has been running for some time but I wonder if anyone can help me, I've only just picked my loco up (no8 Mountain Ash) looks great but sadly the running do's not live up to the livery. After a light oiling and running in I've still not been able to get any kind of slow running out of it, I wondered if anyone had found a way round the problem?
As always any help is very welcome.
-
I've had a number of items from Hatton's without problems so far, and £4 for 48 hour postage works for me
-
Hi this may sound daft but to save me having to read all 37 pages of this thread (its very late) can anyone tell me if there are any major problems with the Hornby King class? I've looked at one or two on a bidding site, the 'King James II' looked good...but.
As always any help is very welcome.

I've found a set of dummy ditch lights which are really close to the real thing
