    EBay madness

Bet a few people will be disappointed to have missed this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bachmann-1-76-CLASS-37-4-DIESEL-37415-INTERCITY-32-385-/121119006683?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item1c33415fdb&nma=true&si=wxQnrOW%252BqzFUEUr%252BpRv1N758l3g%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Found using a buy-it-now search: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R474-and-R475-Composite-Coach-and-Brake-3rd-Coach-in-LMS-Livery-/261222958340?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3cd21a0504 A bit steep for these two coaches (given their age)? I think i've seen new ones around for that kind of money! EDIT: Scratch that, I have seen new ones around for that kind of money: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-LMS-Corridor-Coaches-R4332B-and-R4230B-/261208256863?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3cd139b15f&nma=true&si=wxQnrOW%252BqzFUEUr%252BpRv1N758l3g%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I thought the stupid prices paid for GWR Railcars stopped when Hornby re-introduced them a few years ago: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-R2524A-GWR-DIESEL-RAILCAR-No-26-DCC-READY-VERY-GOOD-CONDITION-/380634627793?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item589f977ed1

Surely a case of false advertising (interesting selling tactic though): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flying-Scotsman-4472-The-Greatest-Locomotive-Of-All-Time-/261188456962?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3cd00b9202 I suppose only really Dr Who could possibly hope to answer such a loaded question.

    EBay madness

I happened to be browsing through eBay last night and saw this. The reason I never bought one of these a couple of years ago was because I wanted 'one of the boys' - the pink nameplates just didn't appeal to me. I remember certain model shops practically giving these away too - don't think they were more than about £45 (even less in places). That is true madness! Also, apparently this is 'near mint': http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2c6bd4b14b

    EBay madness

Just to go back to the C Classes temporarily, I noticed the other day that themodelcentre had listed this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TMC-Bachmann-31-460-BR-C-Class-Wainwright-0-6-0-592-SE-CR-Lined-Green-Weathered-/251211410697?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3a7d5ded09 I decided to ask if they had any pristine ones left, but they said they hadn't. I can't help feeling they have shot theirselves in the foot with this one. If ever a model needed weathering, surely it isnt this one?

Couldnt agree more Andy. I have heard from Rails that Bachmann plan to re-release both the 461 and 462 models in the new year at some point, but surely you would have thought they would reintroduce a number of 460 versions? There are numerous examples on eBay of them going for well over a ton, a small additional run would surely be wise? I'm just glad I got mine at Warley now, but given the regularity of them on eBay, I cannot understand why anyone would pay more than twice the RRP.

Anyone who has seen eBay at the moment will know 'tis the season to be Gostude (as opposed to jolly)! Does anyone know when his sale is due to start?

Yes it does, didn't even notice that. Maybe just a trick of the light, but it definitely looks banana shaped.

Bit of an optimistic buy it now price for these coaches: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item23255844aa Is it because they are Hogworts rather than Hogwarts?

http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3cbc57bf19 Must be that 'rare' J72 with the different chimney, Hornby/Triang couplings and no handrails along the boiler... Apparently, one's already sold - don't hang about too much!
