Regarding Rösti
Would you be able to recommend a restaurant in either Basel or Zürich for this dish, please? A personal recommendation is always welcome.- 9

According to one of the passengers, the train stopped “halfway to Bristol”. Halfway from Cogload to Bristol would be somewhere around Weston-super-Mare so I’m going to say they’re talking out of their ****.

I’ve just tried voting but irrespective of where I tapped the screen (iPad), no vote was recorded.

The signalman’s a funny fella
He stands behind a frame
The drivers all think he’s a ****
And he thinks they’re the same

So are these things 'accessible' for me to view or ride, or some extortionate 'travel fees' involved, or necessary ticketing rules involved?
They connect Terminal 5 with the POD Parking car park on the airport perimeter. -

If they played Scrabble they'd probably call it "Buchstabenaufkachelnumwörterzubilden" (Letters on tiles to make words).
They do, and it’s called, er, Scrabble.- 4

“Get your kicks on the A66”
As numerous bands have not sung…
Maybe not, but John Shuttleworth sang:“I’m having fun, fun, fun, fun, fun
On the A1111,
Like the A1 but four times as good,
It’s the A1111.”

For as long as I recall, Heathrow Director has been 120.4 but has - seemingly - been replaced by (what was/is) Heathrow Radar on 127.525.
I was 120.4 again this morning. -

You are producing x3 Packs (A, B & C) and the Solid and Slatted Ends. Can you please tell me which packs have the wagons with the solid ends? As these are the ones I have seen on the South Wales flow (together with the variant which has a lot of the End Plate removed).
I think @Revolution Ben answered that question in the post immediately above yours.- 1

Hello everyone
A frequency question for you...
For as long as I recall, Heathrow Director has been 120.4 but has - seemingly - been replaced by (what was/is) Heathrow Radar on 127.525.
Can anyone explain?
(Note for context for those who may not know: Heathrow Director is the controller who receives inbounds from Heathrow's northern holds (Bovingdon and Lambourne) and merges them with the southern ones (Ockham and Biggin) to form a single line of traffic before handing them off to Heathrow Tower).
Brian
Might be connected to recent instances of interference/breakthrough on 120.4.- 1

Probably. It’s on the up loop at West Drayton but where it was coming from/going to, I’ve no idea.- 1

Can’t think of what to put in your wagons to create a realistic load? How about some muddy water…

A train from Kings Cross to Edinburgh takes 4h 20m for 330 miles, that's just over 70mph average with stops
The claimed time by road, keeping to speed limits, is well over 7hours, without a stop
Are you sure about your figures? I thought Kings Cross to Edinburgh was a little under 400 miles (393 rings a bell).- 1

Regarding the last set of Class 302 pictures, I’m always impressed David at how many pictures you took of what, to me back then, would have been boring, humdrum subjects going about their daily business.
On a related subject, do you (or any of your followers) know if it’s possible to walk all the way from Shoeburyness to Leigh along the sea front? It looks like it from Google Maps but some local knowledge would be handy to make sure.

Thank you for that information. I will be spending some time in Geneva, Basel and Zürich in November so good restaurant recommendations are very useful. On my last visit to Basel I visited Elsbethenstübli on Elisabethenstrasse which was very good indeed, but I will likely try Restaurant Hasenburg this time.
