terry.ecmr replied to MARKF1985's topic in Exhibitions
Had a great time with Rossiter Rise. Very busy both days. Fortunate enough to be awarded The Founders Cup. Well Chuffed! -
Really enjoyed exhibiting Rossiter Rise. Well organised show. At one stage we had 3 junior members of the club operating the layout! Well done to everyone involved.

Looking forward to attending with 'TELLINDALLOCH in Autumn' (pictured above). Very different from my previous/current urban layouts. -

Just seen the news. Shocked....only had an email from him a few days ago. I do have an order in with him. Obviously other things are more important at the moment. Sad to lose Phil...Nice man. Radley models serves a niche market and I hope, long term, the business can continue. I would certainly be interested in continuing it in some way. In the meantime condolences to his family and many modelling friends.

Do anyone know if the Flying Scotsman is still running today?

Many thanks -
Actually owned by co-layout operator Tony Dean and a joint effort between Tony, myself and other valued member of the Rossiter Rise operating team Harry Pollard this is ex Metropolitan Railway flush sided T Stock. An interesting conversion project.... Started life as 3 Graham Farish suburban coaches. New resin cast roof sections and door vents, styrene overlays for the sides and cabs, plus various detailing.

Ex District Railway C Stock, in the guise of London Transport H Stock of the 1950's. Plastic body kits from a now defunct Australian company!!!! My own resin ends (the originals were inaccurate) plus resin casts for the additional car to make a 3-car set as used on the Olympia Shuttle up to early 1958. Motorised using Underground Ernie parts.

With Alexander Palace just a month away here are some recent additions to the Rossiter Rise stock list that will been seen at the show (I will spread them over a few posts) Firstly, 3 coach ex Metropolitan Ashbury set, as used on the Chesham shuttle. Etched brass kits finished in teak. Also, ex Great Central Railway LNER C13. Also used on the Chesham service. Much detailed 3D printed body on an Oxford Railways Adam's Radial chassis.

Bryan did a sound chip for my 10000 when it first came out. Absolutely delighted with it and always received compliments when running on 'Earl's Court' Highly recommended

In the late 1950's the remaining ex Met teak coaches used on the Chesham shuttle were over-painted brown. -
Saw him in concert a couple of times. Made some good songs.
