  1. Thanks for info and if you're on here tomorrow I’ll be explaining what happened. Goodnight.
  2. I think with large layouts there will always be an issue somewhere but its a case of managing the situation. For example not using a particular point or length of track and not letting the public know there’s an issue. I think I read somewhere that on most spaceshuttle launches there was a minor ‘issue’ that had to managed.
  3. @iL Dottore, a very good point regarding ‘reputable’ manufacturers sticking their name an absolute garbage. I really dont understand why the ‘reputable’ company risks their reputation on such a strategy. Most short sighted, their CEOs need to get to the well known optician before they dont have a company to be the CEO of. Been trying to get a traditional car foot pump that doesn't crumple into a mass of scrap metal the fist time I use it for ages. And while I’m ranting, the replacement bush I need for the motor home is advertised at anything between £4 and £10 but the pictures are all the same. I don't mind, and would prefer to purchase a better quality item, but I’m 100% sure theyre all the same. Higher price doesn't necessarily equate to a better product. Buyer beware, dont rely on price as a guide to quality. . Oh, I do feel better for that rant! Thanks and goodnight.
  4. . AndyID got it. Its a cream-crackered bush from the gear selector mechanism for my almost 30year old VW T4 motorhome. I think changing gears is going to be tricky without it. An update tomorrow, hopefully.
  5. He would but his paws dont reach the pedals!
  6. Here’s Sydney and Hovis waiting patiently to set off on their hols.
  7. Evening All, Frustrating day here caused by late running buses and me misreading a bus timetable. Also had to sort out issues when the business email address was lock for no apparent reason. One of the reset questions is my surname which is fine BUT it has to be more than six letters. I cant help it if its only four. No wonder I couldn't unlock it! To$$ers as some may say. Anyway Night All. Robert
  8. Come on @PupCam, your help is needed! https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/66727365
  9. The batter is gluten free but non the worse for that except a bit pale. Swbo’s non gluten free version is to extreme right and you can see the different colour and texture. Not in Barnsley at the monent!
  10. Evening All, @Barry O glad to hear that some progress has been made and hopefully thing will more smoothly to a rapid and positive solution. Goodnight.
  11. Reminds me of a Mrs Murton Show when she interviews a model (who i won't name) that had just had an expense ‘job’ done. Mrs M. said, and I’m paraphrasing, ‘Well you must have looked a before hand’. The celeb thanked her for the comment, thinking it was a complement. Really, really cringeworthy.
  12. No, that will just encourage the’ look at me’ behavior.
  13. Im on holiday in the caravan at the moment and usually bring a couple of aircraft kits to make a start on. Ive got that many on the go I decided to take something else instead, something that i can get further without needing to get the paints out. Ive got a few Heller kits built and in the stash and found them pretty good in comparison other offerings of that time. Ive completed the Spitfire you mentioned and also the Bf108, Me109F, Me163, Yak9(?) and Zero and cant remember any issues. In the stash I know there’s an Arado 96, an Me109K, a Bachum Natter and a Saab with a pusher prop(cant remember the type) and ,probably some more. Problem I have is getting round to painting them so there’s usually a box full at anyone time. I know theres a Douglas Invader(Revell) NA Texan, deHaviland Hornet, Mig 15 and 17, BAC Jet Provest, Wildcat. I think I’d better leave it there!
  14. Morning All, Just having breakfast as I didn’t sleep very well and as a busy day ahead thought I may as well make an early start. Still a few things to do before we set off and ideally, with the dogs I want to to arrive before lunchtime as there’s no air conditioning in the van and it gets too hot. Right, action!
  15. I just repeated what I read on the back of a cornflake box. If I were wise, I’d follow the advice myself.
  16. It’s a bit of a tale but an unofficial football song for the 1998 football World Cup. Quite controversial but to me it’s just a funny take on the ‘English’ life but others disagree. Here’s more information. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vindaloo_(song) The video is a parody of this video, Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve, another popular song amongst football fans and an equally interesting history. And here’s its history. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitter_Sweet_Symphony
  17. Reminds me of one of my favourite tv moments. Quiz show, ‘what type of carpet takes its name from a west country place?’ Answer- ‘Shagpile’
  18. Watching and listening to some music on Youtube last night and became reacquainted with ‘Vindaloo’ by Fat Les. Was really bored and looked up the song on the net and learned about the history of vindaloo. Funny where things lead to. That my contribution to the food discussion.
  19. Despite her posture/expression Hovis does like her new beanbag bed.
