Evening All, Sleep not coming easily tonight but it’s my own fault. Of late I’ve been feeling completely drained by early afternoon so today I’ve dosed up on caffeine and now I can’t sleep. Not much happening here, just the usual bookwork, mil, boys, dogs and sorting out the garage. Been to the antiques centre at Elsecar and made a couple more purchases, books and model lorries. Evening All, Much skipping as usual of late. I had a @grandadbob moment this morning while emptying scrap metal from my van. Bashed my temple with a piece of Dexion upright. Got a lump there now. Only just managed to get some cooking apples to go with the blackberries that we picked at the weekend. While I went to the MRC SWMBO made some jam. Funny old bank holiday weekend, not much got done but spent Monday afternoon sitting with the old lady across the road while an ambulance arrived and prepared her for a visit to the local hospital. She’s 88 and broken both her tibia and fibula. One of the bank holidays last year she fell and broke her hip and again I spent the afternoon comforting her until the ambulance arrived. Anyway ,Goodnight.

Afternoon All, Sat out under the veranda at Fox Valley avoiding the rain wih Hovis. Swbo and mil shopping for some cooking apples. On last nights walk with Hovis we collected a good number of blackberries so this afternoon looks like time will be spent in the kitchen. Jam and crumble has been mentioned. Robert

Tubthumping was a very popular song at Oakwell (stadium) during my team’s premiere league season when things didn’t seem to be going well and every decision seemed to go against us. The manager at the time Danny Wilson (Danny Boy) as mentioned in the song. I think the line ‘P!ssing the night away’ must have been redacted!

Morning All, Sporadic reading and ratings I’m afraid. Things starting to hot up around here as Mum’s house and old business premises has had an offer on them accepted. Plenty to do still regarding moving stuff and the deckchair situation is still ongoing. Not sure if some people know the urgency of the situation. Mum and sister are on holiday at the moment so can’t help just yet. Not sure if Mum will be much help physically and sister will have things on when she gets home even though paid employment is a bit thin on the ground. Need to speak to accountant regarding abysmal trading figures, contact various people regarding outstanding work at the new business premises and sort out the insurance claim for the water leak. Perhaps I’d better get up and make a start.

The two you mentioned will be worth a bob or two as well even in their current state!
