The other option I'm toying with for the "last of the V8's" around Australia retirement trip is to get the panel van pack:
Those wheels are somewhat ridiculous but the rest of it is a homage to the 1970's Sandman van scene that was huge here back then
Every teen girls parents nightmare was to see one of these roll up in the driveway on a Friday night and to hear "Duanes here - we're just going to the drive in, bye dad, bye mum!"
Anyway, it opens up camping options and memories of surf trips up the north coast and beyond - happy days!
The green one, which i do like, reminds me of a hearse and the fact David Vanian, lead singer with The Damned, used to drive round in a hearse.
Looks like the kind of a guy that would do his weekly shopping in a hearse.- 14

In better news, the green industrial thing with 6 wheels has arrived, described as second hand, looks as though it has never been out of the box. Whoop. Now I have to cough to Mrs NHN how much it cost when she comes in from work. Ah......pants.
Was going to rate with ‘clapping hand’ but not sure if ‘heart’ would be more appropriate. I think I just add ‘thumbs up’ .

Evening All,
Good luck with the operation Dave, I’m sure it will be a success.
Not a particularly great bank holiday weekend but a least my team won today.
Goodnight

I think I must like very different "classical" music from many other people.

I guess there are some "clever" plates there given the MAN suffix to some marks. I recall when wer were teeny tiny critters that there were two bikes - don't ask me what sort because to barely school-age me they were just "Mobikes" - parked as a pair with plates HE 151 and RU 12. He is one; are you one too?
Saw an interesting plate on the way to the match on Saturday. ( no b.s.)

why does a roastie require gluten???
I cook anything Mrs W will eat gluten free - curries, roasts, casseroles and stir fries.
Dont know, but frozen often contain wheat as its part of a coating.
Does GF gravy taste any different from ‘normal’ gravy?- 6

Once went out for a meal and asked what was available gluten free and i was delighted to hear that the Sunday roast was available and was ordered.
Plate came, no Yorkshire puddings, no roasties and no gravy.
When i enquired the waiter said ‘well it is gluten free.’ I enquired about gravy and was told chef makes his own and it isnt GF. GF gravy is available in a packet and surely that would be better than no gravy at all.
If I’d know I’d chosen something else or better still gone somewhere else.I think thats a want, sorry.

Went for a walk this morning with a flask and chocolate bar.
Ended up at the garden centre and had coffee and cake.
‘So what’ you may ask, well, no ultra processed food consumed.
Well it’s a start I suppose.
Now what else can I do?(Rhetorical question)

Just for your information I’ve had it as well but it’s not stopping me enjoying the thread.

Whilst true, I wonder if the descriptions of those who claim a close encounter are influenced by Hollywood imagery or vice versa.

Or influenced with something that can lit and then smoked?

While clearing my Mums house last year I found this up in the (converted) attic. I thought I’d better not take it to the council recycling depot, didn't want to cause an incident.
I took it to sisters to dispose of as it was her property. Syd and Hovis weren’t interested.
