Morning All, It's a nice bright morning today. After several days of it being relatively mild and cloudy, we are set to return to warmer weather. Hopefully not too warm! There isn't a lot else to report, so have a good day everyone...

Morning All, We have a somewhat overcast and cool morning, but it is not unpleasant. The weekend was quiet. Saturday was rather wet, so didn't get an awful lot done but yesterday was better. Time for a coffee! Have a good day everyone...

Morning All, It is another reasonably cool morning. We also had fairly heavy rain yesterday afternoon and the humidity went up quite a bit - resulting in quite thick mist. Interestingly enough, following a discussion I had elsewhere about bees, I have been observing our garden closely. We have some lavender near the terrace, and when I have been watering I have noticed that the bush is positively buzzing (stop giggling at the back). However, it is almost exclusively bumble bees. There seem to be very few honey bees. I know there have been reports of diseases attacking bee colonies and it does make me wonder if we should be more concerned about their decline. Morning All, It is a nice bright morning, but somewhat chilly today. Only 9°C which is a bit of a shock to the system considering it's July! The coffee machine was swapped very quickly yesterday. Morning All, It is a slightly cloudy morning in this part of the world, but reasonably cool and I expect the temperature will reach the very high 20s by the end of the afternoon. I believe that the spade is supposed to represent the digging of locks to make the Thames navigable. However, I don't think the spade that he currently holds is the original one. Quite what happened to the original, I am not sure but perhaps it was damaged or got lost when the statue was moved. It was originally displayed in the Crystal Palace if I remember correctly. Morning All, It is a somewhat cloudy morning today, but the forecast suggests it will get up to around 33°C this afternoon. Then thunderstorms are due! The "Magic Roundabout" idea is actually quite a good one - they do help the traffic flow better. However, they can be very unnerving if you aren't used to them. My experience was mainly from the Sadlers Farm Roundabout at the junction of the A13 and A130. It has been completely remodelled now, and no longer exists in "Magic Roundabout" format.
