  1. Leander coming along well. It may just be enough to secure another invite! Hope the prodding fingers you referred to in last blog were not from our school kids. I will have words if they were!

If you want to send another invite we will be there.... I think your kids were brilliant we even had a couple as guest operators on the layout and they were far better at operating than us.

  2. You can't beat a bit of weathering sat by the fire on a cold winters day!:-) I'm intrigued by the "Human brain colouring book". You're obviously a gentleman of eclectic tastes! :-)

The colouring book is not mine, its belongs to the Domestic Overlord apparently medical students can colour in. I'm not allowed them because the DO claims I keep eating the crayons, I mean as if I would do something like that :)

  3. Yes I can email you a guide. I was offering to forward on the expenses.

Andy all I really want is a copy of the exhibition guide, as mine was "borrowed" on the day by a visitor to the trader stall at the side of the layout.

I should have made a bigger contribution to the exhibition coffers on the day, as our attendance at the show meant I could get the cages the operating team cleaned out while they were away playing trains. :) Bless he does not get out much, some would say for good reason :)

  4. What a drama Paul. We railway modellers live life on the edge!

I'm sure you'll have a good exhibition though, in progress as I write I assume. Look forward to hearing all about it.

Well we are back from the exhibition and the layout is back in the spare room, set up ready for me to play with it again when the Domestic Overlord allows it of course :)

  5. You could provide pen and paper by your layout at the next exhibition and have the punters suggest names... Or maybe have a list of the names you like displayed, and then have people tick which one they like.

That would be in accordance with the great traditions of western democracy. And, continuing in the same tradition, you could then head home and eventually decide for yourself, saying it was all very democratic.

That's an idea..........or I could just put my foot down

  6. Paul the bacon cob order is being sorted. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the show again this year. Hopefully I may find some time to actually view your layout this year, and spot the multitude of Jubilees that you have promised to have running - spotters book is at the ready!

With you being a clever Teacher and me being a bit of a plank, how many represents a multitude? :)
