You can't beat a bit of weathering sat by the fire on a cold winters day!:-) I'm intrigued by the "Human brain colouring book". You're obviously a gentleman of eclectic tastes! :-)
The colouring book is not mine, its belongs to the Domestic Overlord apparently medical students can colour in. I'm not allowed them because the DO claims I keep eating the crayons, I mean as if I would do something like that
-
I stand by the fact that the trunk line joke WILL NEVER WEAR OUT. EVER.
Does the gold sequinned jacket, cravat and tan come with the badger or not?
I'm still waiting for the Badger and the Monocle to be delivered
-
Mike thanks, it was a great day, though very very tiring....now all we need are more bookings.I gather you had a good day! I think that pic of the Ivatt 2-6-0 has loads of atmosphere with all those muted colours
-
Yes I can email you a guide. I was offering to forward on the expenses.
Andy all I really want is a copy of the exhibition guide, as mine was "borrowed" on the day by a visitor to the trader stall at the side of the layout.
I should have made a bigger contribution to the exhibition coffers on the day, as our attendance at the show meant I could get the cages the operating team cleaned out while they were away playing trains. Bless he does not get out much, some would say for good reason
-
Do you not have an electronic copy?
-
No worries you had loads to do on the day,
-
Did I miss your expenses Paul? Are you wanting to come again??
Yes you missed them but it saved me the job of putting them in the fund for the School library.
I think you patrons will be fed up of seeing Foster Street by now.
-
Expenses, expenses what expenses.
Andy can you send me a copy of the exhibition guide for my files?
I guess if we want another invite I better get a new layout??????
-
What a drama Paul. We railway modellers live life on the edge!
I'm sure you'll have a good exhibition though, in progress as I write I assume. Look forward to hearing all about it.
Mikkel
Well we are back from the exhibition and the layout is back in the spare room, set up ready for me to play with it again when the Domestic Overlord allows it of course
-
Oh well. It looks good. May have to you back AGAIN in 2016 to see it running.
Or I could just post a video lol
-
You could provide pen and paper by your layout at the next exhibition and have the punters suggest names... Or maybe have a list of the names you like displayed, and then have people tick which one they like.
That would be in accordance with the great traditions of western democracy. And, continuing in the same tradition, you could then head home and eventually decide for yourself, saying it was all very democratic.
That's an idea..........or I could just put my foot down
-
I will have to see if I have the right numbers in stock
-
Which one earns the most points?
-
How many????That could be arranged.
-
It's not about brownie points, but jut out of interest are they redeemable for Bacon sarnies?5690 Leander will score you brownie points with the exhibition manager. That or 5593 Kolhapur.

Mikkel
I don't know what you mean? I'm a good boy, I'm not trying to buy anyone off, honest -
Andy
Thanks for the pressure
-
Would that be an offer of a booby prize Paul?
I suppose you could say that
-
You could add one of my operators to the Raffle, I mean why should I be cursed, err I mean so lucky when there are so many more deserving people out there.
I must admit the team are looking forward to the return visit this year
-
AndyErm?? Jubliees? Weston show????
What are you trying to say
-
Enough!
You can never have enough!!!! Well that's my excuse and if the Domestic Overlord is reading this, I'm only joking honest and I only have 1 Jubilee honest
-
So that's Saturday the 14th of November in Weston on Trent in South Derbyshire??? Do you have a postcode??
-
Congratulations - it sounds as though you had a great time! I know that the stress of exhibiting would be far too much for me, so I have great admiration for those who do it and provide inspiration and enjoyment to others
Mike
Thanks for the kind comment, one you get over the original panic exhibitions are not that bad really.
-
Paul the bacon cob order is being sorted. We are looking forward to welcoming you back to the show again this year. Hopefully I may find some time to actually view your layout this year, and spot the multitude of Jubilees that you have promised to have running - spotters book is at the ready!
Andy
With you being a clever Teacher and me being a bit of a plank, how many represents a multitude?

If you want to send another invite we will be there.... I think your kids were brilliant we even had a couple as guest operators on the layout and they were far better at operating than us.
