That's it now you have got me thinking I will have to build a traction engine now
-
It could, if your thinking the same as me, that means your as mad as me, welcome to the club
-
Jim
I have to agree I would hate to overdo it, but I think the houses against the backscene will get a little grot added to them next
The problem is that there are always other little distractions......
-
Jim
thanks for the kind comments, but is it just me or does it still look a little clean?
-
I want one
-
The problem is there are too many distractions, I mean have you seen the "landship2 train packs, very very good value........
-
I'll fight him for that spot, within easy reach of bacon butties and hot coffee, it was the only thing that keeping the operating crew subdued for the day, as the tranquilizers I got from the local vet had no effect. That could be arranged. I am thinking of the same spot as last year, although Will is hoping to be near by so I may have to change things slightly.
-
Nice to see the layout this way. Looks good.
Job - thanks but there is still lots and lots to do
-
Will we be in the Bacon Buttie zone???
-
Andy I had a couple of guest operators on Foster Street when I was there last year, and I will not allow it this year, they put me to shame they operated it better than me
-
Mike
You have eagle eyes there spotting the Coronation Scott poster, and thanks for the kind comment about the quality of the work. I must admit I never thought of using "Caledonian" blue, I think I may look into suppliers of silver paint
-
Only 5 months- that's not long enough
-
Don't mention the "flying pig" its had its wings clipped for the time being as its original chassis started playing up, but I have a replacement to hand but I just need time to alter it slightly
-
Will
Good to hear you are at the Weston show too, is Foster Street starts to play up I know where I can call for help, Andy the form should be winging its way to your in box

Mikkel - good idea about the foam blocks , I think I may try some experiments, that's once I have sanded down a few of the rough edges on the trays..........yet another job to complete
-
Andy - I'm indestructible so no worries - I have got a couple of ideas for the layout, but I'm keeping the details under wraps, just in case it does not go to plan

Although not an N gauge modeller i find that when i visit the forum i always have to have a look at the progess on Foster Street. Some of your comments and frustations make me laugh, i think we`ve all been there at some point. You`ve certainly done a lot so far . Keep it going.
Jim.
Jim
I must admit sometimes I really begin to question why I model in N gauge, but usually after a successful new purchase smuggling trip past the evil forces of the Domestic Overlord, it all becomes clear.

I love mucky ducks. When i was working in nN I always wanted to have a go at one. You've done very well.
There is still a lot to do on it before it is anywhere near complete I just have to knuckle down and finish it
-
With all the filler you're slapping on, I'm thinking 'Fury' ?
I'm not using that much filler, and most of it will go..... but no its not "Fury"
-
I know exactly what you mean about 'grinding to a halt'. I find that it's best not to push these things but just to get on with enjoying something else. My GWR No.182 is stuck, awaiting a few little things, such as a tender, motor, and gearbox but I think it will have to wait until the longer evenings, next Winter. In the meantime, it look pretty sitting in a siding.
I think I might recognise your strange 0-6-0 - just add a few more wheels and it'll be fine
Mike
I'm working on the leading bogie for the strange 0-6-0, the question is does it look like what you think it might be?
-
Looks great to even my LMS bias eyes

As a McLeod of Harris I heartily encourage the wearing of the...skirt..? 'Tis a skirt if anything is worn underneath, but I can only assume all is in full working order... Best, Marcus McMarcus of the McMarcuses (of Harris) ...no, really...
Marcus, is it wrong to wear a string of pearls too??
-
Good to catch up with Billy again. I'm not sure what he's on if he's seeing pink tractors, though
Hope he gets over the diseasel soon.
Mike I really worry about him, I really do

Steve
I had noticed the stanier stock on the layout, its a great looking layout, in fact I think I might steal, sorry I mean borrow some ideas for my next layout, that is if I ever finish my current one
