My wife who is Eaglesham born and bred pointed out an interesting and true fact. If you are an older resident of the village you pronounce the name properly as "Eagles - ham", whereas if you are an incomer or non resident you pronounce the name "Eagle - sham" Jim

Just found out today that Leather is rated based on its texture. Cows with abundant water sources typically have softer hides and are therefore rated "A" but hides from cows living in hot, dry climates are typically .........D-hide rated.
