  1. @Accurascale Fran @McC My MK2B coaches have finally arrived! What a credit to you all at Accurascale for producing these fine coaches! Everything has been thought out, detail, too much to mention, not seen on other RTR models. The best part for me though is the interior! These are second to none! Anyway, I had detailed a few Bachmann MK2As, to make a prototypical rake, but to be honest, comparing the two, the MK2a is definately inferior. So the modeller in me came up with a plan.... But of alteration, with the Bachmann body being 4mm too short and resprayed roof/ends, but retains all of the Accurascale features! Hopefully until there is a future release, i will have to make do with my improvised version...
  2. I have personally used railmatch crimson, but yet to compare as waiting on WCRC MK2Bs
  3. Yes ordered 4 NSE MK2b TSO. Saw those NSE ones on Ebay! I know I'm itching to get my hands on them, but worth waiting for these 😊
  4. Looks like Model Railways Direct have some MK2Bs in stock for those of you who begrudge paying inflated prices on Ebay! Patience is a virtue!
  5. And the running numbers 37422 in all 4 corners, rather than the numbers she carried throughout her career. Also ran out of Norwich on the "Short set" for a short time.
  6. Ok I have said this once already, but I would love to see an Accurascale version of this MK2B... we already have an IRM version of a generator car, so why not?...
  7. At least it seems that the NSE coaches are a good match 👍
  8. I totally agree with your previous post, just feel Bachmann have used the "worn" livery as their version of the livery.
  9. A short vid of a 47 and MK1 coaches, I resprayed BR Maroon (Loco) and BR Crimson (coaches) Bachmann coaches look more like the 47, Accurascale ones are spot on in my opinion!
  10. Cancelled my Bachmann preorders due to the livery. Sprayed my own. Br maroon for the loco and Br Crimson for the coaches.
  11. I ended up using a pure white aerosol instead as the off white, didn't match the Bachmann coaches very well.
  12. That has answered all my questions! Still waiting for my mk2b's for direct comparison.
  13. I also think with photos, past and present, you have to take into consideration lighting and the locos finish. Here is a Bachmann D200 that had the same treatment, but as you can see the indoor artificial light and outdoor picture, in natural light, look a totally different shade of green.
  14. My Accurascale Deltic in green dont look too bad after buffing the body with toothpaste to get rid of most of the satin look and add 7 coats of Klear...
  15. Well my one off NSE MK2D FK is now ready! Just waiting for the MK2B's to accompany her! Track pickup, stay alive in toilet, Reed switch for lighting and 3d printed seats courtesy of Fk3d.co.uk
  16. Also trying to get my Bachmann mk2a's up to scratch, to hopefully match?
  17. I'm loving the interior, cannot wait for my mk2b's and c's to arrive! 😊
  18. That would be the ultimate, Mr McCarron Sir! So many liveried to cater for!
  19. Yes avoid D5512, 31270 and 31110. All 3 of mine crumbled!
