  1. Well I have found this on here if you want to repaint... Falcon Grey: Pantone 412 Rail White: Pantone 441 InterCity Executive Light Grey: Pantone 452 Rail Red: British Standard BS381C/593 'Rail Red' Warning Panel Yellow: BS4800/08E51. The Railtec Regional railways blue stripe will do the job. I dont know if they have gone but Bachmann-spares.co.uk had some Scotrail DBSO spare bodyshells not so long ago.
  2. This is totally unacceptable! I've made the mistake of purchasing the whole set. The coaches I got away with by using microsol/set to get the decal to sink into the door recess, then a few coats of klear to seal. But when the powecars turned up, I lost the will to live. Something needs to be done about this as quite frankly Hornby dont give a s**t the fact we spend out hard earnings, in this current climate on their sub standard models at rip off prices. Accurascale all the way!
  3. I could be wrong, but I'm going all out and recon it's a Class 50! What else is going to haul all those Mk2bs?.....
  4. I honestly think there isn't alot of difference between my 30 year old "rework" and the new tooling?.... repaint, adding bufferbeam detail, directional lights, wifi pod and etched wipers.
  5. Well I've spoken to Colin at rainbow Railways and steve at railtec and Rainbow looking the more likely source at the moment.
  6. It's really not far out at all. Front end the same other than disc LED taillights and a socket, plus the addition of a dellner coupling. Even original front screens. I cannot wait to see this?!
  7. Personally, as the HTG 37/7 has been announced, I would love to see a DRS fade livery version of 716 produced (yes I am modelling east anglia modern image) would go nicely with 37409, 419 and 423 which I have pre ordered. One of these would be nice too.....
  8. Well here are my 2 DRS versions of the new tool 37, one as Mary Queen Of Scots and one as Avro Vulcan. Both based on 430. Right down to the finest detail, including etched screens, reworked bogies, multisockets, solebar labels, you name it!.... even a reworked DRS DBSO with correct light pattern. Now on Ebay....
  9. 403 would be a nice addition to the GA DRS short set too!.....
  10. These window frames with a DRS front end could be a winner?!
  11. Also with the glazing, I used the clear plastic packaging from a wills kit, cut to size glued in with a beading of glue n glaze, once dried, filled in the recess with glue n glaze up on end until dried clear. Had trouble with sinkage previously.
  12. Andrew, I finally got one of your anglia kits finished....
  13. Well I actually nodded the front end by scratch building light clusters and using bi colour towels LEDs and smd LEDS. Really couldn't live with the Bachmann front end! The lack of toplight was sacrilege!
  14. Well I have fitted the DRS 32 pin socket next to the high intensity light, nose ariel's and altered the taillights to represent the LED versions. A set of PH Designs screen etched would finish it off nicely. I'm halfway through reworking one into Avro Vulcan and plan on doing 407. As you say, you cannot do these with the Accurascale 37s, with the lack of bodyside windows. Have 402, 409 and 423 pre ordered. Remembered that 401 never worked the Anglia Short Set, done too much to it to alter it, hence selling. Yes I like DRS 37s!
  15. There may be scope for some Bachmann DRS DBSO fronts as they have totally cheaped out on the lighting and have the same light pattern as the Anglia tooling... very dissappointed! However this stuff is groundbreaking! Keep it up!
  16. I have already converted one of these large logo 37/4s to DRS Mary Queen of Scots. Here is a pic partway through the rework.... anyone interested in potentially purchasing it?
  17. Anglia progress bit slow my end, but will ask, where did you get the Rog 47 in the background? Kev
  18. Hi all! Do any fellow modellers have a surplus Bachmann MK2F TSO in blue/grey? I am modelling the Anglia 68 "short set" and have a TSO and BSO, reworked, but just need that 2nd TSO. If anyone can help me out with this, would be appreciated. Willing to pay a reasonable price for one. Thanks all! Kev (Melton Works)
  19. Looking the part so far! These 3d printed kits are a real gamechanger!!
  20. I dont know what's been going on with the website, this is the first time I have been able to get on it. Have to say that it's looking spot on so far! Will sort out the DRS DBSO as soon as I can, but here is where I am at so far. Kev
  21. Just proves that it can be done and Hornby release the same old tat, no more than a renumber for ridiculous money! I wish Fran and all at Accurascale for being able to produce top quality stuff for a very competitive price. The tooling is on par, ok better, than the Bachmann 47, but compare the price. Well done Accurascale!! Just need an HST Announcement at a reasonable price....
  22. No rush, but would love to model a couple of decent Hornby Anglia Dbsos and of course will do a step, by step on here. I'm definitely wont be rushing out to pre order a new Bachmann one anyway!
  23. That looks spot on! If you could produce a couple of these, that would be excellent! Kev
  24. Here's one I made earlier based on the Bachmann model and PH Designs etches
