      I use exactoscale hooks on wagons, with smiths links. Locos have larger Smiths hooks.

      I use the ready make screw, the self assembly instantiers, and for 3 links just buy the hooks and make the links myself.

      It depends what material you use and how good the designer is, also you get the satisfaction of having designed it and customized it and if you get it printed as a kit then building it as well.

      So you can print without any ridge lines that need filling or sanding down?

      If you are meaning on a curve, then if you put enough sides on then there won't be ridges (or only very slight ridges at that)

  6. Had a brilliant day driving our 7 1/4 gauge Bridget, despite the few teething problems, such as the safety valve not reducing steam quick enough. Shouldn't be too hard to fix.

      I think I read somewhere you may have problems if you spray on top of enamels.
