  4. G'day Folks BR Macs, brilliant for keeping your body dry, but your legs and feet were soaked, and the pockets used to fill with water. manna
  5. G'Day Folks Had a parcel arrive from England, plenty of Goodies inside, handrail knobs, crankpins etc and a couple of new projects, a streamlined B17, a D11 and another modified R1, fitted with Romford wheels, going to keep me busy. The 'Droopy' tender on the D11 has already been fixed, and is a good runner, although a little nose heavy. manna
  6. G'day Folks Didn't Lord Willoughby's railway end in the station yard at Little Bytham ?? terry (aka manna) who's ancestors lived and died in Little Bytham for centuries.
  7. G'day Folks Your truck has a Dip stick...................! manna
  8. G'day Folks Do you have a Washing machine or tumble drier near the wall of the Garage, over time a bit of vibration may have moved them. manna
  9. G'day Folks I believe Nabisco's moved down to the West country. manna
  10. G'day Folks Alpaca's are fairly common in Oz, they are used as 'Watchdogs' to keep the foxes out of the flocks of sheep as they are very protective and will attack foxes and dogs, there size scares most things off, and they have been known to kill foxes, what they were doing on the roadside, is unknown, probably escaped from there paddock or maybe they wanted a Beer ! Lovely shots of the layout, they give a good view of the size of the layout, but I didn't actually mean for you to use a helicopter. Thank You, manna PS, After I posted, I noticed I was the first one on Page 100, Congratulations.
  11. G'day Folks Layouts looking good, any chance of a helicopter view ??? we had these turn up the other day, no idea where they come from !!! manna
  12. G'day Folks I wanted to GO......
  13. G'day Folks A view from our block of land, 2006. A line of trees now block this view. manna
  14. G'day Folks Yesterday I did a bit of filling on the DEMU, then put it outside in the warm sunshine to dry (all good), then wondered what to do, I looked around my workbench, my eyes saw the Robinson B1, yeah, time to fit the pick ups ! I soldered the pick ups from the back of the motor, straight into the wheels, just to get it moving, and it worked, but the worm spun sometimes on the motor shaft, so out with the superglue, then it worked better (getting there) but the motor was also at the wrong angle, a gentle tap, and the superglue broke, added a couple of bits of plastic card, then thought, I wonder, I can use the hot glue gun to fit the motor, I had thought about it a while back, but hadn't had cause to use it, the hot glue has held the motor in place, but you have to be very very quick, it cooled before I could get it exactly right, it has a slight lean, but works well, I've added a bit of weight, the body and tender and ran it, but it stuck on some of the sharper curves, the front bogie wheel is touching the cylinders, so another small job, but I want to Epoxy the cylinders to the stretcher plate before I do that. The silly looking motor to rear wheels pick ups, work very well, with very little hesitation on dead frogs, just sails over the, but I think I'll fit more in the future. manna
  15. G'Day Folks At your age I was still playing with Nellies and B12's..................on the floor. manna
