  1. G'day Folks Instead of going back to the R1 and P1, I want to get the D3 working, I've fixed up the tender drive that was half finished, and finished off the D3, I had to do the inside of the cab, fit lamp irons, and screw the body to the chassis, still a couple of loco's to go, next up is the J1, that's been hanging around for a few years. manna
  2. G'Day Folks Worked those trains at that time, none were Crimson, all blue, but with a layer of road grime, they sometimes gave off a 'reddish' hue. manna

G'Day Folks Well after 160 pages I'm smitten, not into the GWR, but what a layout, some of the best scenery I've ever seen, Brilliant. manna
  5. G'Day Folks I did have a 30' yacht mast, in an older type DMU , we managed to squeeze it into the DMU via the brake van double doors, but being so long, it went half way down the passenger compartment aisle, certainly had to watch my step when collecting tickets. I always wondered why a Yacht mast was in Huddersfield, with a ticket to Leeds !! manna
  6. G'Day Folks. No it didn't but I used to give it a good wax ! manna
  7. G'Day Folks I used to park my car at Rochford station, after a couple of months, it was covered on Copper dust, from the overhead lines, I used to scrub the car with 'Ajax' to get it off ??? manna

  16. G'Day Folks No, I never worked for the railway in steam days, but did 'spot' at Wood Green (5 miles north of KX), I then worked at KX, left, and restarted at Southend, then worked at Eastleigh and Leeds, I was a Guard at Eastleigh and Leeds, so I signed a lot of route miles. I like the C12, watch the chassis on the C12, I've got to have another go at it, it's still not right, I built a new body for mine, thinking it was the body. There is a Facebook page all about the Queensbury Lines. manna

G'Day Folks I've just knocked up the Booking Office, Ticket window, i won't be doing any more interior detail, as you won't be able to see it, but the ticket window, Just. It's based on the ticket window at Cranley Gardens station, on the Alexandria Palace branch, you can find the picture on the 'Disused Station' site. manna
  20. G'Day Folks On the Down side as far as Wood Green tunnel (that I can remember) was Holloway C/S, Western Sidings, (later the DMU stabling point), The you had, C/S along side the reservoirs, between Hornsey and Wood Green (can't think of there darn name), then you had three sidings, almost under the Hertford fly over, they were called 'Park sidings'. On the up side you had Bounds Green, Coronation shed and sidings, Hornsey C/S, then Finsbury Park C/S, which handled most of the Suburban coaches. manna
