  2. G'Day Folks If you lost the tanks and bunker, and put a pony under the cab, you'd have a Pacific, Big B****r. manna

    Hornby P2

G'Day Folks The Buggati nosed P2's should have followed on from the original P2, within 12/18 months, which was logical..........But manna
  5. G'Day Folks I liked the idea of the tender drive, as it would show daylight under the boiler, it would I suppose be hard to fit a motor in the engine part. I'll have to rebuild the tender top, at least it was a 'Big' tender, plenty of room. Hope you revisit your P1, it's not to difficult to build a small box under the smokebox. manna
  6. G'day Folks The R1, I will admit looks a bit weird, with such a small, but high cab, here's a picture of the real one. manna
  7. G'Day Gents Cold here by Aussie standards, just about got to 10c, so it was stay inside and see what we can do, the R1, has had a coat of paint, just to see what it looks like........, so we'll leave that for a while. The P1 is 'Slowly' coming together, lot's of 'bits', at the moment I've got them all balanced/bluetacked together, all I have to do now is put it all back ?? manna
  8. G'Day Folks For some reason or other I've only just found this thread, must have been dreaming...... Excellent work Jamie, Every loco is a learning curve, each one is different. Signals are even harder, But loved the GN six wheelers.......Beautiful. manna
  9. G'day Folks Sexy looking van. manna
  10. G'Day Folks Back for another update, the R1 continues to progress, with the bufferbeams and buffers fitted, splashers made and fitted, trim also fitted around the tank tops. The 'Green' D2 that featured on page one has now been repainted to black, it was always meant to be black, but I couldn't acquire any 'Yellow' numbers at the time, so it got painted green with 'Gold' numbers, which I did have. See pic below, but with the wrong tender. I managed to pick up a LNER suburban Brake third, at a bargain price $10, I've replaced the bogies and the windows as they were covered in Brown paint, it's also been 'Teaked' along with another 'Brake Third, that I already had in BR Crimson, this at least allows me to run two 6 coach trains on the Edgware branch. manna
  11. G'day Folks Read carefully.........
