Both Golden Eagle & Sparrow Hawk have single chimney ,did they ever have a double chimney like Mallard.

Gresley A4 Sparrow Hawk is the latest addition to my A4 collection. Sparrow is go running trials in the next few days on the Severn Crescent Railway. Sparrow Hawk joins Golden Eagle, Peregrine, Sir Nigel Gresley, Bittern, Mallard LNER Blue & B R Green.

Would it be better if Hornby did not give a fixed date and just say along the lines of XYZ COMING SOON to a shop near you. It is the fixed date that lets Hornby down when not the fault of Hornby.

Gresley A3 Minoru 60062 arrived on 25th December as originaly to be renamed & numbered. Am i right in thinking that A3s with single chimney did not run with or need smoke deflectors .

I suppose it's like the A4 in LNER Apple Green, people asked for them for years since the newer tooling came about. But factions within Hornby thought they wouldn't sell so it never happened. ................................................................................................................................... I think that somes up Hornby and why they are in the mess they are in now.

Did Hornby ever produce Flying Scotsman in B R Blue at any time . I think they should for us kids around 50 something .
