  1. Plan B, does that require the monies up front in the next few weeks or will it be a depositi scheme like the APT?
  2. I for one am aware of the project, but in no financial position to pleadge at this time so will be in the market for one should one appear for sale in the future!
  3. Had a phone call from the organiser of the Stafford show last night telling me that one of the layouts for the show on the 31st Jan/1st Feb was unable to attend and he would be delighted if Apa Park could fill the gap. A brief discussion with Callum, the new owner, and agreement was made to attend. So if you would like to see Apa Park in the flesh, get yourself down to the Stafford County Showground at the end of the month. I will be operating with Callum on the Saturday so do come by and say hello!
  4. I think I know that your deadline has been met. Well done! Look forward to seeing the results mate!
  5. Looking Good Pete, Its amazing to look back over the thread and see the project evolve to where it is now in a relatively short space of time. It seems to have come on leaps and bounds once the scenics started! I would be extremely proud of this one if I were you... It may even be worth a word with Mr York about magazine space... I certainly think it is a worthwhile candidate. Steve
  6. Its not wanting to delay or even saying its a bad time. Just for me, personally, I have not been able to save up, nor am I in a position to just buy outright. The layout has taken priority. I have had to sell stock collected for future projects just to finance Christmas and the current build and still ended up in the clutches of payday loans! I pledged for 9 car set early on but unfortunately had to cut this down to a token donation as the stark realisation of mid January gloom sets in.
  7. Thanks for the kind comments, I'm afraid coupling is nor more complicated than the good old hand of god!
  8. Is anybody else out there in the same boat as me, Wanting to pledge, Wanting a Pendo but simply not being able to commit to that amount of money at this time? I would happily pledge normally but have a deadline for my layouts first show looming so any spare capital has been sucked up with that!
  9. January the 13th ay Pete, is that when you start a new N gauge project then?
  10. Seeing as you asked. 1, NSE 2, Dutch 3, Either RF construction or Fragonset black!
  11. OMWB N scale brass UP 4-8-4 and a Penn S2 6-4-4-6... Simply Stunning

  12. Nice name for the new layout... Vicious Circle...
  13. A discussion I entered into a while ago, whilst brainstorming the plans for Melton... I *like* letterbox view, see the Apas, it draws you in but also creates a very limited viewpoint, you almost force the viewer to look at it from said perspective. The higher the pelmet the more the view is destroyed by operators midriffs, and other body parts. Exhibition managers I have spoke too are not keen on eye level pelmets as this does not promote discussion between operators and punters. My personal opinion is if its a low heigh layout, keep the pelmet low and have a clear view over the top of the layout to speak to people (and watch the little fingers). If its a high level layout and the pelmet will obscure your view, think about moving the main operator to the front of the layout, this is a nice touch that gives the punter a 'warmer' feeling...
  14. Has the urge to try FPV Racing
