Didn't work it but I was around Coventry this morning to see the first 196 on the Leamington Spa to Nuneaton service. 196004 Sir Edward Elgar at Platform 2 in Coventry. They're growing on me the more I see them which I'll see how that changes when I have a full diagram of them!

That looks great! A lovely representation of my favourite class of locomotive! It also appears that 31466 hasn't moved since I last saw it on the SVR either 😂

196 training finally completed and they're very odd units from a Guard's point of view! A lot of intuitive things to like and some not so good features but glad to have another traction under my belt. Just the one from training, 196110 at Wellington on one of my training days. And something a bit different, waiting to leave from Northampton 319012 on the rear of an 8 car empty stock move.

A very familiar looking scene, great stuff!

31466 at Highley 22/04/23

196 training put back by a few weeks and engineering works on the Cross City North, so I've been a bit all over the place with jobs. 2 days on Nuneaton - Leamington Spa in the lovely Easter weekend weather with 172216 in the sun at Kenilworth (again). Alongside that finally managed to catch a Chiltern 68 in 68010, this time at Leamington Spa. Also a trip to Northampton for the first time in a while, waiting for my train I snapped 350128 on the nice evening it was! And back to reality weather wise, but yet again I get 323221 on one of my Cross City turns. Lost count how many times I've had this unit now!

Been getting very similar diagrams lately, lots of passing to Birmingham to work Cross City for most of my turns. 323s aren't bad to work but are very boring to photograph, so it was a nice change to have two Leamington Spa to Nuneaton jobs recently. My first 172/2 in 172221 and 172008 both at Kenilworth. I have my 196 training coming in the next fortnight so I'll be sure to grab some pictures of those!

The TPE 350/4 does look good, minus the bogies having the shoes on. Can only hope it sells well so that they do an LNR livery version in the future.

No 323s were harmed during these trips (surprisingly)!

Off on my block week now so here’s a few from this week! 66501 at Northampton just before the snow started to settle Slightly blurry from snow 66055 passing through Northampton And finally after visiting York with my other half, a Statesman Tour came through platform 10 whilst waiting for my train back home!

Hadn't seen 323221 for quite a while and suddenly it turns up on the front of my 10:15 to Redditch today!

Been on assessment recently so haven't had much opportunity to photograph anything, so here's one I took 2 weeks ago! First time I'd seen a 4 car one of these in 196102, leaving Wolverhampton for Birmingham.

Wasn't intending to grab any photos last night, but had a slight a surprise arriving into Northampton when I saw this on Platform 4!

Just the 2 from today, seemed to just miss everything interesting! Had ex-Chiltern 172101 all shift on Leamington Spa - Nuneaton. I'll be on this route for the rest of the week so this will more than likely be it unless something else crops up! First trip done and some light starting to break through! And slightly unusually got routed into platform 2

After enjoying reading threads of other members who document their railway careers in photographs, I thought I'd join in! Whilst I'm still fairly new to the industry myself and I don't get much opportunity, I do try to grab a few photos when I can, so here's some of my favorites so far. Title is a work in progress until I can think of something interesting too 😂 Terminated in platform 3 at Rugby on an early, was nice to see a 57 that wasn't 57304 in the bay too! On to Cross City and some proper traction, working it to Bromsgrove then onto Lichfield Trent Valley. Couldn't resist the opportunity to grab this photo of 56078 at Barnt Green! A rather early start on the Leamington Spa - Nuneaton at -7! Here's ex-Chiltern 172102 later on in that shift. Also only the second and final time I made it as far as Leamington Spa that day due to a points failure very early into shift! Managed to quickly grab this photo of 730018 doing a door test at Lichfield Trent Valley, as well as the striking 323221 only a couple of days later! Looks lovely in person too with it's near as permitted livery! And finally my most recent shift, I had 350253 on Walsall - Wolverhampton! There's more on my Flickr but I didn't want to overload the post! I can't promise regular updates, but thanks for looking.

Did you manage to catch 221 on your Bromsgrove - LTV Colin? Didn't pass it once in 4 hours today whilst on Redditch - Four Oaks so I was surprised to see that it was out!

I was only passing so not my fault, but any excuse to not have to go to Redditch 😂

Damn shame to miss that this morning! I was passing on 2C00/06:07 Coventry - New St so can’t have missed it by much, better luck next time!

Minor livery issues aside, the 31s look great! Glad to see the livery issues are being rectified too and tempted to pre order 31514 to go with 31432 now!

Putting the GTR stunt to one side, isn't this the first time KR are attempting a model of a desired and well documented locomotive? It's a certainly a departure from the likes of GT3 and the Fell and the influence of the CFPS is certainly a positive step in the right direction for the model. I'd like to see more CAD images but for now with the pressure that will come from modelling this, it will be interesting at the very least to see if they can rise to the demand and quality that a large majority have been wanting.

Waiting for the other NSE livery, pre ordered 50021 to go along with my 31432 pre order. Accurascale are going to cost me a fortune if they keep this run of locomotives up 😂

I think 2 would look more realistic and somewhat reminiscent of the area around Rugby North Junction, too! Layout looks great also!!
