  1. I would have guessed Mk2 Pullman coaches, looking at the window shape.
  2. Fiddly maybe, but an all too common sight on the railway! Looks fantastic so far!
  3. I’m assuming you work for WMT? And if so what are they like to work for if you don’t mind me asking? I start as a Trainee with them in August so it would be great to hear from a current employee! Apologies for slightly hijacking the thread also Big Jim!
  4. This one would be my choice, Midland Red for personal preference but a general livery that could have mass appeal!
  5. Agreed! I'm planning on taking RBE's approach of shortening where possible like on his Burton On Trent, set in the late 70s and early 80s though. I did not, I'll have to look out for that!
  6. Lichfield City Station prior to most of its track being ripped up offers quite an interesting base for a layout to me and a station I’m currently researching because of that!
  7. While I think it looks stunning, I don't personally think the grilled headlights translate as well to the scale as they'd hoped. It's not something I've ever really noticed on the locos until they made a point of it in the video and to me they look bulky after scanning through Flickr. I do applaud them for the level of detail they've gone to on this loco though, it really is a great model! Prices are cheaper than I'd initially thought too so there may be room for one, despite being the wrong scale for me
  8. Seems the list of Fleetlines has been released (or I just haven’t paid much attention!), nice to see some Coventry examples in there! Although I would hope Keresley Village will appear on the model and not Keresley City* as advertised Will be getting 6986 on the 36 for sure! https://rapidotrains.co.uk/fleetline/ *Was on my phone, artwork shows Keresley Village thankfully!
  9. Thanks for that! I counted 4 sets as I was passing but it appeared there was only 2 68s. Interesting sight nonetheless.
  10. Forgive my ignorance on the Nova 3 sets, any idea why there were a few stabled just south of Crewe station? I grabbed a couple of blurry pictures from my seat but currently still on the Pendolino!
  11. Class 323 was my suggestion. A gap in the EMU market that seems to be overlooked by various companies and one that is definitely associated with some of the more interesting areas to consider modelling post introduction! I know i'd have at least 4 sets in OO in various midlands based guises.
  12. Not a GWR person at all, but I'm 100% getting one of those! My Grandparents moved down to work on that site and live in Keresley Village (also where I grew up), my family before me all worked on that site and in its current state as a Prologis Park, I also work on that site! Lots of sentimentality in this model, thanks Rapido!
  13. Best place for pre-built baseboards?

  14. These would have been my suggestions, the 323 particularly could be a massive open goal for a smaller manufacturer.
  15. Whilst completely understandable, it is a shame it's been cancelled in OO and I hope this doesn't discourage you in the future from producing further locomotives with the level of detail displayed on the 91.
  16. Please be an East Lancs body like 6757! But seriously, I'll be getting two just for nostalgia! They were being rapidly phased out of Coventry when I was a kid, but I still have very vivid memories of catching them to town! Far better experience than the Metro's that replaced them, although being a kid I didn't have the lack of room issues that others have stated
  17. I agree about the Author's box, it's overly large and poorly placed. Maybe you could have the book title aligned left or right and have your name in there, still in white?
  18. Certainly gave off a good -non stereotypical- impression of the hobby I thought. A good bit of fun that could entice new people!
  19. No problem Dave! I tried to justify a set or 3 for what I have planned but they're just that bit too new/uncommon at that point in time. The layout is looking great so far by the way, definitely has that late 90s WCML vibe to it. Will continue to follow with interest!
  20. https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/tiphookfreightliner A few photos on there of early 90s variants
  21. Hoping to get there to see this, but if not hope it goes well Cav! It's a cracking representation
  22. Maybe look at TMDs that are already situated on main lines? For the size available to you Leicester could be a good choice as inspiration, for example. https://flic.kr/p/GLLhC7
  23. The N Brass catenary looks very good! May have to invest in some!
