  1. Hi. I am sure I am missing detail here, any thoughts / suggestions....? Thanks Julia.
  2. Hi Morgan. Its a much chopped around Proxxon MF70 milling machine. I have documented quite a bit about it on this thread.. Missy
  3. Hi. I am doing some lobster pots. Any ideas on what I could use for the netting? Thanks Julia.
  4. Fantastic Photo. Thank you for sharing it Jon. Another interesting fact, the barge boards on the ends of the roof were different from all the other station buildings. I never worked out why. Missy.
  5. The canopy does look amazing. I really hope it has shown the guys there what can be done with a little bit of encouragement. Such a shame the rest of the site looks like a shanty town with all the old portacabins. M.
  6. Hi Ben. Yes, you are correct. In this instance the total depth of cut was 0.5mm done in 2 passes of the cutter. Missy.
  7. Thanks Mikkel. Ironically, Highclere Station was closer to Burghclere than Burghclere Station. It was something to do with the person living in Highclere castle at the time of construction wanting his own 'station', as payment for it running through his land. Not uncommon at the time. Missy.
  8. Hi. I glued the Brass to a sheet of wood using this stuff... It dissolves with a bit of IPA. Missy.
  9. Hello. Fresh off the CNC mill this morning. Machined from 0.4mm thick Brass with a 0.5mm diameter cutter. The largest hole is 1mm diameter. Missy.
  10. This literally took me 5 mins.... There you go, ready for etching. Easy! Julia :p
  11. I worry about people sometimes.... Julia.
  12. Interesting screen grab from the WHR webcam at Porthmadog this morning. I guess they are all outside at least. Missy.
  13. Is that the case though? I posted previously that the PHE were quoting 90% protection from both AZ and Pfizer vaccines (after 2 doses). Missy.
  14. Hi. Wasn't it because the majority of engines travelled bunker first? Missy.
  15. Its getting confusing (or it always has been?). My assumption has always been that a single dose gave only 30(ish)% protection against the latest round of virus, the bulk of the protection was from the second dose. The above seems to contradict that? To me, the infection rate figures seem high considering the amount of people who have had one or two doses. Missy.
  16. Interesting figures quoted this morning. (Quote BBC News) The (unfortunate) death figures intrigue me a little. I guess the 36% who died after both doses are naturally older and therefore more susceptible, even after both doses of the vaccine. The 10% is the result of younger people who have had a single dose and therefore less lightly to feel the effects. Missy.
  17. Thank you very much David, thats just what I needed. Would something like "If you cant make it good, at least make it look good - Bill Gates" be appropriate next time? Julia.
  18. Hi David. I am building a couple of boats myself. What is the diameter of your masts? I love the way you have made them and therefore would like to copy it. Thanks Julia.
  19. I so want to do some BG stuff! Julia.
  20. Fantastic Ian! Is that the beginnings of another layout I see? Julia.
  21. Hi. I thought it would be worth adding a couple from me which I knocked together a while ago, basically to try out my new printer at the time. To be honest, the weathering probably could be a bit better. Missy.
  22. Hi Alls. Is a Sprog still the best way to programme a decoder? Thanks Julia.
  23. Hi Valentin. They should tap out. Use a length of brass rod to reach the bearing and then tap gently with a hammer. Julia.
  24. Hi Valentin. Yes (ish). At the time I couldn't find any anti-backlash nuts so I chopped up some standard nuts instead. Julia.
