  1. The CME fancy dress ball has not proved to be popular - it turned out the music would be Drummond Base! So Mr and Mrs Lington and their son Bill.....Lington have cancelled
  2. We'll be on page 1000 in no time at all at this rate! This topic is so serious and argumentative it is replacing the late lamented Have Your Say! I'm going as Urie Geller, by the way.
  3. Well worth the effort - a much more spacious feel and the crossing looks much more functional. It must have been a nightmare working around those telephone wires!
  4. You can see the sisters are freezing cold by their blue lips- I wouldn't expect the gentlemen of the press to be there anytime soon, but you'll be pleased to hear the Hall brake rods went on easily!
  5. I've just taken delivery of the brake rod and cylinder ejector spares pack for my Hornby Railroad Hall. It takes me back to the excitement in 1981 when I fitted the brake rods to my trusty Mainline Manor- That cost £25 and started my interest in GWR It still looks good with a new chimney and bogie wheels, on a Bachmann chassis - yet lacks the scary presence of the monster on the Newhaven branch...
  6. That's really interesting- I wonder what use the rubber pads served when they were compressed by the weight of the carriages- or perhaps they were just there to reduce the rumbling noise reverberating through the ferry while loading!
  7. But was it flat bottomed rail on the ferry deck?
  8. I'm very pleased with mine apart from the lining. The missing brake rods are now available as a spares pack- but that makes it less of a bargain!
  9. I was tempted after watching his focus stacking tutorial but I suspect the proper software costs as much as a Birdcage coach from Bachmann!
  10. "In the USA, the film was originally rated R by the MPAA due to nudity, but was reduced to a GP-rating (PG) on appeal." Are we allowed to watch?
